Do “collagen creams” work? 🌞
As we age our natural collagen levels decrease and thus are marketed skincare products that contain collagen.

However collagen molecules are too large to pe*****te the skin on topical application so whilst they might help moisturise at surface level, they’re unable to carry out the plumping and smoothing action that occurs from naturally-produced collagen that’s already in the skin 💧

Therefore, in order to boost collagen, you should be looking for ingredients that promote collagen production within the skin, rather than a topical application. Ingredients to look for include:
Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and Aloe Vera 🌵

Alternatively, you can boost collagen through diet. Foods such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, berries, garlic, carrots and sweet potatoes are great plant-based options 🍊🍠🍓🥕
