I feel like there isn't anything I can write that will truly say what I'm feeling about the passing of Shamaka Khalid Ali.
What I can say is that he had the biggest heart (and smile to match)...and to be on the receiving end of that smile when you were on stage because you actually delivered would leave you on cloud nine for days.
As a community, we were incredibly fortunate to be able to share our musical world with such a wonderful talent and person. I know I'm blessed to have known Shamakah, let alone call him a friend.
Thank you for leaving us with many memories (on stage and off), and for the laughter, the chats and wisdom. You are deeply missed but I know you'll be reigning thunder from that heavenly throne. Rest in everlasting peace, my friend. 💔

What an incredible evening! Hanging with Chilliwack, Terry David Mulligan, Mike Reno, Brook Lynn Hytes to name a few. And what an honour to perform with Lorraine Segato for the finale along with a cast of amazing singers...not to mention the fantastic house band led by Lou Pomanti. Great vibes all around!
Congratulations to the very deserving 13 bands/artists on their induction into Canada's Rock of Fame!

It was such a wonderful experience to be asked to perform for the Women's Blues R***e back in 2013. Well, this year, they have asked me back and I am over the moon!
On November 25th, I'll be sharing the stage with fantastic artists Miss Emily, Angelique Francis, Suzie Vinnick, Ann Friend, Garnetta Cromwell - and backed a killer band of female musicians.
