Hi family, daddy just came out of surgery. Surgery went well but he’s still sedated, it will be over an hour and up to two hours before he wakes up. But the doctors said the surgery went well. 🙌🏾🙏🏾 I’ll keep everyone posted when he wakes up. Thank you for the continued support and prayers. 💙 Maira

A HUGE thank you to those who made a brief stop to wish daddy a safe surgery yesterday, I wasn’t there to take pictures but we send our heartfelt gratitude, especially la prima Mary who flew in with Tia Olivia from Texas to see papi and although the trip was from afar only stayed a few minutes to ensure papi got his rest. 🫂🥹 We love and appreciate you SO MUCH prima! 😘🫂💙🙏🏾❌⭕️ Maira

Papi is not having surgery this morning, they are still trying to regulate his vitals to ensure a successful surgery. 🙏🏾 Maira

Daddy is super grateful for all the visits and prayers, at this time he will not be taking any further visitors until post surgery, the rest will help him to prepare for his surgery. Dios quiere, after surgery I’ll let everyone know when he’s well enough for more visitors.
❤️‍🩹 Today he woke up with slight low blood pressure and the doctors have him on complete rest in order for him to be ready and well enough for surgery tomorrow. 🙏🏾💙 Thank you for understanding, for the love he’s felt, and for the prayers. Love y’all! Maira

❤️‍🩹 We thought he had a stroke but it’s severe bulging discs that are leaving him immobile, he can’t move his entire left side of his body and right arm. He’s been in the hospital for a week, today. His intestines have shifted moving his spleen up and causing breathing problems and fluid in his lungs, he’s currently on oxygen. They’re planning emergency surgery on his back, they’re moving him from the Apopka hospital to downtown Orlando, probably today. I’ll keep everyone updated. Thank you.

Se me ase mas fácil compartir por este medio el bienestar de mi Mami. Esta descansando y durmiendo mucho ya que la anestesia le afecto de más en esta vez. Eso afecta que no progrese en levantarse y dar sus primeros pasos y empezar a caminar por si misma. Pero si por algo valgo es por mi fe y primeramente Dios vamos a salir de esta.

Pero no se preocupen que no está tan malita, porque el hambre no se le quita 😅
Y quien la conoce a mi madre santa sabe lo “especial” que es! 🤭😜
Les pidió a las enfermeras un sweet tea y que si tenían limon para ponerle también 😬🫣
Por eso ella es “La Checho!” La amo a madre y no la cambiaria por nada en mundo ❤️

Hi loves, we’re asking for prayers for la prima Christy. She’s having studies done to check her health, she’s been at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. She’s had a hard week so the family is asking for only prayers at this time as she may not be able to reply to any messages you send and they are trying to keep her under minimal stress. Gracias. 🙏🏾💜

Hi fam, I’ve cancelled the park reservations and reunion planning. Without participant numbers it’s difficult to plan an event.
Perhaps someone else could plan a different type of event, if so I’m willing to help out. 🤗

Hi guys, the reunion is still on for March!

We’ve chosen an open park because it is the safest group event option due to covid. We would hate for anyone to become ill at the event, especially our elderly and those who are immunocompromised, as we all know covid will take a life. Since state/ county/ city parks are free we don’t have to add a venue fee to our expenses, we could get a bounce house and a dj, the field area is a great area to dance on and so are the covered pavilions.

Everyone can bring their tents and portable chairs, the weather should be great in March!

I know we’d wish we could do an indoor venue but, again, it’s just not safe for our elders, but if someone else would like to plan one for the fall or when covid cases become low, I’m sure plenty of Gomez would attend! And I’m willing to help out in any way.

Until then I hope we get to see all of you in March.

Hi family, we’ve set a date for the Gomez family reunion. March 19 & 20, 2022. Saturday the 19th: Barnett Park, Orlando, Saturday evening, Orlando Eye attraction; Sunday the 20th: DeLeon Springs State Park.

Saturday: catered by Tío Beto, fee per adult, children under 13 free, original Tío’s and Tía’s free.
Saturday evening: hang out at the Orlando Eye attraction- pay your own entrance/ food expenses.
Sunday: catered by Tío Beto, fee per adult, children under 13 free, original Tío’s and Tía’s free. Pay your own park entrance fee.

We would need a count from each family so that Tío Beto can give us an estimate on the food for both days. Once we have an estimate we’ll have the fee per person.

Only Gomez Diaz family and spouses.
