Thank you Woodstock Farm Fresh Market- unofficial Downtown Woodstock for an amazing day yesterday! The pace allowed for a few really nice conversations between a lot of hustling, and we met some great new friends.
We sold a LOT of W.F. ramps and a LOT of seed to cup herbal tea. We will have more this coming weekend, along with our FIRST subscription pickup of the season! There should be a few extra weekly kits for those of you who wish to jump in on this week's bounty:
Spinach, spring mix (fet. pea shoots), kale, radishes, green onions, and choice of herb. $26, or $13 w/ a SNAP card.

Thanks so much for supporting our little farm and our amazing market! šŸ¤ŸšŸ˜šŸ‘

Farmers market season has been so much fun this year. After our baby came (a year ago, tomorrow!) last year, we didnā€™t think weā€™d have the capacity to truck it to markets as a family ā€” we stay together, kids and all. Well, weā€™re creeping back in this year, kids & all, and have no regrets so far.
This weekend, weā€™ll be in our old stompinā€™ grounds, at Roswell Farmers & Artisans Market. Weā€™ll bring veggies, eggs, plants, and children. Come by, & wish the youngest Lord of Levity a happy first bday! šŸ„³šŸ„³

The 2022 Spring STEM Challenge is now live! Thank you to the Georgia Association of Conservation Districts for being a partner on this challenge as we learn about POLLINATORS.

This STEM Challenge is a special project brought to you by the Georgia Ag Experience, the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture and Georgia Fam Bureau's Ag in-the-Classroom. The challenge was developed to help expose elementary teachers and students to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) involved in agricultural production of food and fiber. We aim to help students recognize their role in agriculture by exposing them to real-world problems that they can help solve.

Learn more at the link below. Registration is open from February 14th to April 29th.

The Story of Cherokee Fresh Market

Visit our page to learn about what is going on with local farmers, producers of baked goods, prepared foods and handcrafted items. Farmers Markets and special events related to agriculture and horticulture are posted here as well. Volunteers from Cherokee County Farm Bureau maintain this page.

Originally located at Cagleā€™s Dairy (later known as Cagleā€™s Family Farm), the first Cherokee Fresh Market was held under a big yellow tent on the farm during spring and summer months. Known for its scenic setting, it was a nice destination for families and lovers of fresh produce. As other farmers markets became popular, Cherokee County Farm Bureau decided to end sponsorship of the market. However, in order to continue supporting local farmers and artisans as well as promote agriculture and education, volunteers created this page to share information with the public.

We hope you can find what you are looking for here. If not, just post what you want and one of us will be happy to help you out!

Thanks!
