Gratitude overflows as we extend a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing SAJ supporters—our dedicated board members, their families, and our incredible community. Your unwavering support has made a significant impact on the lives of our local veterans.
This year, with your help, we proudly donated a total of $25,000 towards meaningful initiatives. Special appreciation goes to Rob Bailey and the SAJ spouses, Joe Kyle and Joe Walkowiak for their tireless dedication and countless hours contributed.

🚨 2023 Pub Crawl Update….🚨
🇺🇸On this Veterans Day🇺🇸 Save A Joe Veteran Charities would like to thank all the incredible participants who came to the Save A Joe 4th Annual Pub Crawl and our amazing host bars Alley 64, RHouse, Filling Station Pub and Grill, The Hive Tavern and Eatery, Flagship on the Fox for making the Save A Joe Veterans 2023 pub crawl a huge success! Together, we raised an outstanding $8500 to support our local veterans. Your enthusiasm and generosity have made a real difference. This year’s donation is going to support K9s For Veterans, Nfp to help give a local veteran a support dog.

Our good friend Justin Allen is opening up a new place in St. Charles called Rudy’s. Opens in October. More to follow, and I can’t wait to see it!
Rudy’s Country Bar will be opening in October!
The third location from the owners of R House, and The Beach Hut, Rudy’s brings the country theme to the downtown St. Charles area.
Rudy’s is the only bar in the suburbs of Chicago to serve custom moonshine cocktails! We cannot wait for you all to try them, along with many of our other whiskey cocktails, and other specialty drinks!
Stay tuned to see the interior of the new bar, our exciting new menu, and fun events Rudy’s will have to offer! Can’t wait to see everyone in October 🤠

Get to know Save-A-Joe
What is a Joe? A “Joe” is a term used by military leaders when referring to their soldiers.
In 2013 Katherine Banik and Paul Schifferer wanted to do something to help Veterans in their local communities. Paul served in the Army National Guard and retired as a Master Sergeant after 21 years, and Katherine’s Grandfather and brother are also Army Veterans. We organized a charity fundraiser called ‘Bowling for Veterans’, which we ran for 5 years and, with the help of many wonderful volunteers and committee members, were able to donate over $30,000 to Veteran causes. We had so much fun doing that we decided to incorporate. Now we are growing, will be adding more committees and events, and intend to help even more Veterans and Veteran Service Organizations. With your support - We got this! Please help us spread the word, raise funds and help Soldiers.
