Miss Quincy 2024

I had a blast last night attending a Quincy Chamber of Commerce event! I had a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and network with new ones.

During competition weekend we had a secret Santa with all of the girls… can you tell by they look on my face I got the best gifts ever?!? A fun fact about me is my favorite color is green (you will see me in green 90% of the time). I also got sent killer for deer hunting! If you’re a whitetail hunter you know you go through this stuff like water to eliminate scent. Whitetail deer have amazing noses and scent can make or break a hunt. Even though I successfully tagged out this season with a record buck I can’t wait to use this gift next year! Thank you Kayla for the amazing gift!

With so many things I want to express gratitude for, the women I competed with are at the top of my list. Sisterhood, it truly is a beautiful thing. These women were all so unique, smart, driven, and supportive. Each one of them did such a good job. The amount of talent on that stage was unreal. To all the women who I shared the experience competing with never quit shining your light, you are all destined for great things!

Less than 24 hours after crowning and we are already proudly wearing our crowns. Today I met with my beautiful teen and wonderful director to discuss goals, future appearances, how we will impact our community, and plans to tackle MISS ILLINOIS in June!!

“I am overwhelmed with joy. I never thought I would do a pageant, but I’m known for breaking stereotypes and I think I’m here to break pageant stereotypes,” she said. “You know, I love hunting and I love being outdoors. I’ve never really seen a pageant queen do that before. So I’m really excited to break that stereotype.”

These were my first words after winning this title. I’m far from the typical pageant queen. Through out my life I’ve worked hard to break the stereotype of the typical hunter and now I get to break the stereotype of a pageant queen. My goal for my reign is to show people that if you don’t fit into a traditional stereotype or box it’s okay to create your own. 2024 is the year to crush stereotypes!
