I’ve been playing guitar for so long, it has gone from potential career, to hobby with benefits, to last ditch effort, and its latest incarnation, “no other option”. I’ve been in bands, most recently The Exhibit(s), but have of late been trying more solo gigs to avoid having to pay anyone else. I have dozens of originals, hundreds of covers, and one or two songs that people actually want to hear.

Finally put this up on GarageBand. It's Three Fiddy. It's basically me learning how to use GarageBand while coming up with a composition. I'm proud of the composition (I actually tried to do repeating themes and s**t); not so much the recording. But work with what ya got, I guess.

When Jennifer worked at Publix, I really wanted to talk with corporate about an idea. Basically this: instead of every single register having the same "beep" when they scan an item, make each one a different note in a chromatic scale. So that there would always be an original composition happening, depending on how many registers and the pattern that each falls into.
Since I don't have the resources to even know how to suggest that, I came up with a composition that is just a bunch of different sounds, in different time signatures, interacting; (and then I put chords and a lead in there for good measure).
It's funny to me how the patterns seem stagnant until the background chords come in. Sound can be an illusion, too.

I named the band the Exhibit(s) and the whole point of the parentheses was so that you can see it as a show of individual people, or as the sum of its parts.
Even though I write the words and chords, they can’t exist without participation.
