We'd like to share a message from our Artistic Director Solveig and Assistant Daisy before we close our page.
Hoffwn rannu neges o'n Cyfarwyddwr Artistig Solveig a Chynorthwyydd Daisy cyn i ni gau'r dudalen.

"I'd just like to say a Big thank You to everyone that's been involved in Sbardun Gwreiddiol for the last 11 years and the 10 previous years in Cwmni Dawns Ieuenctid Sir Gar/Carmarthenshire Youth Dance Company. We have been trying to figure out how many members of the community of all ages that we've worked with and it's in the 1000s! It's been a privilege and joy to have worked with you all!

I'd also like to say a special Thank You to Daisy and also Seren Stacey, both talented, creative and gorgeous women. It's been a particular delight and so much fun to share time with Daisy as we can both talk and talk for days and weeks. Diolch o galon, cariad - your smile lights up the world!" - Solveig

"Working with Solveig and all of the members of Sbardun Gwreiddiol for the past 5+ years has been amazing. I've learnt so much and got to work on so many great projects with this team of incredible people, sharing stories from all over the world for the audience here in Wales. I can't thank Solveig enough for teaching me so much and giving me my first ever job in the arts after University. I've loved working with you, you are the hardest worker, the best teacher and number one dancing queen. Diolch o galon a chariad mawr" - Daisy

It's with sadness that we announce the death of another inspirational dancer, David Toole who performed at the London Olympics 2012, with CanDoCo, DV8, StopGap Dance Companies and many others. Unforgettable!

We are sad to hear that the wonderful and extra-ordinary Dilys Price, dancer, skydiver and founder of the 'Touch Trust' has passed away. Thank you for all that you gave to so many.

Due to health issues, Covid-19 and Brexit we have taken the difficult decision to close Sbardun Gwreiddiol Youth Dance Company. The company has for the past 20 years continued to train local young people to take vision and practice forward into the future, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have shared this ethos with so many young people over the years.

Our page will remain open until the 20th of October 2020, so in the meantime we’d love to hear from you. Please share your memories, pictures, videos with us from Sbardun Gwreiddiol or Cwmni Dawns Ieuenctid Sir Gar/Carmarthenshire Youth Dance Company (as it was originally called).

Diolch o galon,
Solveig

Oherwydd materion iechyd, Covid-19 a Brexit rydym wedi gwneud y penderfyniad anodd i gau Cwmni Dawns Ieuenctid Sbardun Gwreiddiol. Mae'r cwmni wedi parhau i hyfforddi pobl ifanc leol ers 20 mlynedd i ddatblygu gweledigaeth ac ymarfer yn y dyfodol, ac ni allem fod yn fwy diolchgar o fod wedi rhannu’r ethos yma gyda chymaint o bobl ifanc dros y blynyddoedd.

Bydd ein tudalen Facebook yn aros ar agor tan yr 20fed o Hydref 2020, felly yn y cyfamser byddem wrth ein bodd yn clywed gennych. Rhannwch eich atgofion, lluniau, fideos gyda ni o Sbardun neu Gwmni Dawns Ieuenctid Sir Gar/Carmarthenshire Youth Dance Company (fel y'i gelwid yn wreiddiol).

Diolch o galon,
Solveig

We'd like to share some photos from the Tibetan exhibition that Solveig our Artistic Director contributed to a few years ago. She gave a talk, wrote a report and exhibited costumes from 'Opening the Door of Space' a dance performance inspired by the central Asian performance traditions and techniques that she's studied.

Dyma rhai lluniau o'r arddangosfa Tibet y cyfrannodd Solveig, ein Cyfarwyddwr artistig ato rhai blynyddoedd yn ôl. Rhoddodd anerchiad, ysgrifennodd adroddiad ac arddangosodd wisgoedd o 'Opening the door to Space,' perfformiad dawns wedi'i ysbrydoli gan draddodiadau a thechnegau perfformio Asiaidd.
