Tired of filling kongs with peanut butter for crate training?
MAKE YOUR OWN KONG FILLERS!
This is just potatoes and carrots I boiled, mashed up and am freezing in silicone trays for easy kong fillers! I switch up the veggies each time and make in bulk! Just watch the sodium content and double check your friend google for what dogs can and cannot have, then go CRAZY!
And yes, those are doxie shaped treats, they fit perfect in kongs 🤣🤷♀️

Please excuse our messy house, but louie is learning so fast we had to share! His human foster sister is a dog training champ and he is becoming so patient with her!
*please note we are only adopting louie to a no-kid household at this time. While he does well with her, he does not do well with most children. She has been in foster and rescue for animals her entire life and is not a typical kid with animals.*

This handsome boy got into some trouble trying to jump fences into the neighbors' yards...so now he has a 35ft lead staked in the middle of the yard to keep him 10ft from fence on either side 🤦♀️🤦♀️ he is still SUPER handsome tho!

Old dogs need enrichment too! Rammy works hard helping us train foster dogs and needs some 1 on 1 attention sometimes too! Don't overlook the "good" dogs needs because without that enrichment, they won't stay "good" for long!

*LOUIE UPDATE*
-This boy is super smart and can open round door handles (and locked himself in his room once 🤦♀️)
-He FINALLY learned how to stop when he is running around the backyard and hasn't slammed into the fence in a week (still clumsy tho)
-He knows when we say "drop it" he must drop whatever is in his mouth. He also knows if we ask "can I have that?" He has a choice and can play fetch or go chew on the toy independently.
-He must have a toy to chew like 95% of his day (peep that nylabone under his leg)
-He loves treat puzzles while home alone or his Kong filled with kibble and peanut butter. He does not do well left alone for 8hrs a day without one of these items.
-most importantly, Louie is quickly becoming the goodest boy just like his foster bro Rammy!

Helllllo! It has been a while but we are back in the fostering, training and adoption game! Meet Louie, our new foster dog! He is about a year and so far has been super sweet! Basic manners are our main focus right now so keep an eye out, he might be up for adoption soon!
