Aidan Baker, one of the earliest performers at the PiNG, sent us an album's worth of new tracks to premiere at the The PiNG's 25th Anniversary - Wally Jericho, Planet of the Loops + dreamSTATE with Kurt Swinghammer show. They were well-received by the audience, judging from comments made to me. This week Aidan has released those tracks as an album "PiNG DRONES" plus a second "Forever Versions" album with very extended versions. They're free/PWYC so get immersed in some deep drones! Don't miss track 6 "voiceOne" on the main album, as it's an unexpected treasure.

No DRONE:KLUB for January 2024 as Long & McQuade revamp their Clinic Hall - but here's the complete DRONE:KLUB:03 from January 2017 at the Roland Inspiration Centre - CA.
It sounds pretty good and I can see many Droners who still attend regularly. I also see two artists who passed away last year: the mighty Michael Oberhammer (standing with beard and guitar) and Robertson Holt aka Trey Trace aka microsleep (with the white headphones - who was usually found crouched at the round table with his buddies). The The AMBiENT PiNG is planning a PiNG iN SPACE special on Robertson in February featuring the sound+vision work he shared with us and more.

Since we all had our gear ready to play in the the park, after the show-postponement due to the rain, we decided to grab some dinner then head north to Jamie’s space for a longtime-threatened Not Your Average Worker Bees vs. dreamSTATE jam session. Wish you all were there too.

TONiGHT's PiNG PiCNiC is POSTPONED!
Unfortunately the weather forecast has changed and there's now a risk of rain this evening so we won't be gathering in Earlscourt Park tonight for the PiCNiC.

Visited Earlscourt Park today to check things out for Sunday’s PiNG iN THE PARK. The grass is green and inviting and the trees are not bare. Looks like a beautiful day for our last outdoor PiNG of 2022 - featuring live percussion-triggered electronics from synþ + pedalicious ambient improvisations from Heraclitus Akimbo. Checked for washroom availability... The Men’s is closed for repair but the Everybody’s on the east side of the building is open. Sound starts at 2pm with 1st set at 2:30.
