Fertig Farm
Fertig Farm was established in 1893 and has been family run that raises Black Angus beef cattle.
We do not believe in anything artificial, no growth hormones nor additives, and take pride in our cattle.
Rotating the cows and they pass by the house. A wonderful view for a farmer
The cows and their calves are making their way up by the house
Little heifer in the chute with a unique marking. And our bull Highwayman enjoying some scratches and head rubs
1 of 2 loads of yearlings headed to the stockyard in Moorefield
Good Morning from the farm
Being silly with the cows🤣
Our cows are so awesome, even our bull Highwayman is pretty cool. I don't know many bulls that willingly come up to their person
The cows have cone up for a visit this evening around our home
Jetta is such a good mama
Jetta had her calf. Unsure of gender as of now. But a beautiful day to have a calf born!
Our handsome bull, Highwayman, on the left and Jetta, my bottle baby on the right. Jetta is due any day now with her second calf and Highwayman is the father.
He has produced beautiful calves the past few years we have had him. Certainly a big difference in having a registered and tested bull vs a bull with no genetic history
Here is Jetta, my first bottle baby. 3 years ago her mom died a few hours after she was born. I bottle fed her for 6 months. Last year she had a bull calf and this year🤷♀️🤷♀️
She is due very soon, her bag has developed a lot of the past several days. She is currently in the field she was raised in.
I cannot wait to see what she has, and hopefully I am home when she decides to evacuate her hostage...lol
