⚠️‼️Riding Tips for new motorcycle riders.

Motorcycles are dangerous to ride but many have ridden for years successfully with minor or no life threatening incidences.
Riding needs discipline and higher level awareness than driving cars so below tips can help you minimize accidents and expensive mistakes or repairs.

❗ #1 Always anticipate the other person's next move. Every tip below is about anticipation.

🟢Always be geared. Dress for the fall not for the ride!

🟡While on the road , be aware of oncoming vehicles at least 3 vehicles behind the one infront.

🟠Ride on the right side of the road. This gives you a view of the road ahead and helps you see dangers ahead of time and manouvers from other road users.... This also keeps you in the line of sight of the driver behind you so they're always aware of you.
Ensure that in the front vehicles side mirror, you can see the drivers face. Which means they can see you and you're not in their blind spot.

🔴Additionally, always be scanning both sides of the road ahead, on the look out for users about to join the road or animals that may suddenly cross the road.

🔵Always look at the tyres of vehicles that are about to join the road and vehicles around you so as to help you anticipate their next move.

🟣Wear a bright helmet and reflective gear. Black helmets look cool but are less effective especially at night. A driver usually notices your helmet first.

🟣A multicoloured helmet helps other road users accurately gauge your distance and how fast you're approaching.

🟨Always beep to alert other road users of your presence. Revving and loud exhausts look cool but remember someone with all windows rolled up will not effectively hear your cool sounding exhaust.

🟩In line with beeping, always keep your headlights on. If you can, add auxiliary yellow spotlights on your crush cage to improve visibility. They make your motorcycle look wider from a distance.

🟧At night rides or while filtering, ride as fast as your headlights or your eyes can see and this be able to stop quickly.

🟥Use front and rear brakes at the same time. Rear only, your bike will fish tail. Front only, you may lose control of the front end and crash.

🟦Approach PSV vehicles, junctions , highway exits/entries and petrol stations with caution!

Please Note ⚠️
If a bike starts fine and starts running bad when it warms up that means it's a bit too rich.

If it starts hard and runs fine when it's warm it's too lean.

*Regular Motorcycle Maintenance for Safe and Reliable Riding*

As motorcycle riders, we all know the thrill of hitting the open road on two wheels. But with that thrill comes the responsibility of maintaining our bikes to ensure safe and reliable riding. Regular motorcycle maintenance is essential to keep your bike in top shape and prevent breakdowns, accidents, and costly repairs. Here are some key areas to focus on:

*Fluids:*Your motorcycle's fluids play a critical role in its performance and longevity. Regularly check and change your oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid as recommended by your owner's manual. Make sure to use the right type of fluid for your bike, and don't neglect this important aspect of maintenance.

*Tyres:* Your tyres are the only point of contact between your bike and the road. Regularly check your tire pressure, and adjust it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Inspect your tires for wear and damage, and replace them if necessary. A blown-out tire at high speeds can cause a serious accident, so don't take any chances.

*Chain:* Your motorcycle's chain needs regular cleaning and lubrication to function properly. Neglecting this task can cause poor performance, damage to your sprockets, and even chain failure. Use a high-quality chain cleaner and l**e, and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.

*Brakes:* Your brakes are your lifeline on the road. Regularly check your brake pads for wear, and replace them if they're getting thin. Check your brake fluid level and color, and replace it if it looks dirty or low. Clean your brake calipers to prevent dirt and debris buildup. If you notice any issues with your brakes, have them inspected by a professional mechanic.

*Cleaning:* A clean motorcycle not only looks good but also helps you spot potential problems before they become serious. Wash your bike regularly with mild detergent and warm water, and dry it thoroughly. Pay attention to areas that collect dirt and debris, like the chain, wheels, and radiator. A clean bike also shows that you care about your machine, and can make you a safer and more responsible rider.

In conclusion, regular motorcycle maintenance is not only important for safe and reliable riding but also for prolonging the life of your bike. Don't neglect this crucial aspect of owning a motorcycle, and make sure to follow your owner's manual and manufacturer's recommendations. With proper maintenance, you can enjoy the thrill of riding for years to come.
