With a background in songwriting, PR, heavy music, and music journalism, I started Noise Gate as a way to tell the stories of the underground music scene that has been so good to me.
I earned a bachelor's degree in songwriting and a master's degree in cultural apologetics, and later went on to teach collegiate songwriting and modern music. Eventually, I became a PR Account Executive at a full-service agency to sharpen my publicity skills and build my contact list.
