Paws in Work

We’re a wellbeing company on a mission to make a better life for people and pups! 🐶🧠

06/09/2024

When the Paws in Work Frenchie’s come out to play there’s never a dull moment during our puppy therapy sessions. Our cheeky Frenchie’s get called all sorts of funny nick names and no matter how mischievous or stinky their farts are they never fail to melt our hearts 😂

It’s impossible to have a bad day at work when you get to play with puppies! Anyone else wish they were spending their Friday with our Frenchie's?

30/08/2024

Believe it or not, the puppies benefit the most from this heartwarming experience! The puppies get a great deal of vital socialisation from our events, which is essential to their development and a great basis for them to grow into happy, healthy dogs. The welfare of our puppies is our number one priority and each event is structured to absolutely ensure their care, safety and happiness throughout it.

The ideal opportunity to socialise puppies doesn’t always present itself to every dog owner, but with Paws in Work, the puppies are given a fun, safe environment that is perfect for them to become more used to meeting different people, experience new textures, smells, sounds, sights and getting used to travelling too.

We simply pick the pups up in the morning and take them home in the afternoon after their fun day of socialising! The pups have nothing but a positive experience at all our events and regular feedback to our breeders on their development is all part of it.

Here’s a Paws in Work Pup Date that’s bound to melt your heart this afternoon 🐶❤️

Early this year we socialised a litter of Labradoodle’s and it’s safe to say everyone fell in love with them. We received the cutest update from Bailey (one of the pups from this litter) and his owner on what he’s been doing over the last 5 months and it was way too irresistible not to share with you.

We are super excited to learn that Bailey is a good boy (most of the time), very happy and bouncy puppy, who loves stealing shoes, off lead walk in the woods and going to puppy classes to show off his new tricks… sounds like Paws in Work taught Bailey well!

It also amazing to hear that Bailey’s puppy socialisation programme at Paws in Work really paid off, here’s a note from his paw-rent - “We think that his outings and experience with Paws in Work helped him to become a confident puppy when being handled and he always loves a cuddle and playtime!”

👉 Swipe to see a grown up Bailey loving life in his forever home.

If you're interested in socialising your litter with us, we'd love to hear from you, get in contact via our website - https://bit.ly/3tn3PGY

We’re not kidding when we say it’s your time to unwind and relax... Bring a pillow (if you wish), turn your out of office on and join the calming and very positive mental health benefits of puppy therapy. Now it’s your turn...

It’s super important that companies review their workplace culture to ensure it promotes a healthy work-life balance for employees.

At Paws in Work we want to improve mental health in the workplace by giving staff the headspace to play, laugh and relax with some new furry best friends, which is known to help in dealing with anxiety and reducing stress levels 🐕💚

As you can see we really do love our jobs here at Paws in Work... This is our Puppy Welfare Manager, Megan. You can sometimes find Megan in the side pen with our puppies giving them that extra care and attention ❤️

Poodle mixes can be slightly more dependable than other breeds and with that in mind Megan finds that jumping with the pups is a great way to get them settled in the morning.

Now that we have your attention 😂

At Paws in Work we want to improve mental health in the workplace by giving staff the headspace to play, laugh and relax with some new furry best friends, which is scientifically proven to help in dealing with anxiety and reducing stress levels - the Paws in Work staff can vouch for that!

Last month alone we made approx over 2,000 people happy thanks to our paw-some pups and this could be you too.

It’s so important that companies review their workplace culture to ensure it promotes a healthy work-life balance for employees. Booking a puppy therapy session is the ultimate way to boost your teams spirits and take a well needed break from their desk.

Workplace wellbeing doesn't get much better than this. A stress relieving day that also promotes puppy socialisation, it's a win-win for all!

At Paws in Work we are strong advocates of mental wellbeing and with the help of our four legged friends we encourage you to take a well-earned break from life's daily stresses, taking time to focus on your wellbeing whilst experiencing the joys of our puppy pals.

As much as our events are about helping people to take a break from their working day, at Paws in Work our priority is to ensure that the pups we work with are happy and socialising in a positive way. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Come and meet some of these paw-some pups that we’ve worked with at our puppy therapy sessions this year so far...

Do you have a litter of puppies that you want to socialise with Paws in Work?

We understand that ethical breeding comes with many costs, such as health testing, vaccinations, microchipping, C-sections and stud fees. That’s why, for every event your puppies come to we contribute a set fee to help with these costs.

Our puppy therapy sessions offer puppies benefits that last a lifetime!

🐾 The fun and positivity of a Paws in Work session give puppies brilliant social experiences that help them learn how to act around people, play with each other, and be calm in new situations. It can also significantly help the puppies make it through the first of their ‘fear periods.’

🐾 Our events are a great way for mum to gradually detach herself from the puppies prior to them leaving for their forever homes.

🐾 Our events allow our breeder partners some well-needed time away from their litter so you can focus on your mental health too.

We want to make sure at every step of the way that we deal with reputable breeders who operate ethically and who also have the wellbeing of the pups at heart as much as we do!

🚨 Exciting news alert 🐾

We're thrilled to announce that we socialised a litter of Golden Retriever puppies for the very first time at our puppy therapy events last week, as you can imagine both attendees and Paws in Work staff were very excited to meet them!

There was an overload of cuteness, cuddles, and wagging tails. It's fair to say these little bundles of joy bought big smiles, reduced stress levels, and brighten everyone's day.

It's our 6th birthday today which can only mean one thing... it's time for cake! 🎂 🎉

A lot can happen in 6 years:

✔️ Dogs clock up a total of 42 human years

✔️ A 6 year old dog possess the equivalent intelligence of a 2 year old child

✔️ Paws in Work have put around 240,000 smiles on the faces of humans (and puppies)

✔️ 2 friends can go from quitting their day jobs and hosting puppy therapy events together, to founding a company that has grown a paw-some team and become the only fully licensed puppy therapy company in the UK!

Thank you to our amazing team, clients and of course, the real stars of the show - our adorable four-legged friends. Here’s to many more years of wagging tails, and happy workplaces! ❤️

3,2,1 say Labrador! Another day, another puppy cuddle session for the Paws in Work staff ❤️

Staff Vid of The Week goes to Megan and Daisy the Labrador, for this ridiculously adorable video. We can totally see why Labrador's are the most popular dogs in the UK.

Sometimes what you need to get through Tuesday is a little cuddle from our fur friends. It’s a guaranteed mood lifter that will put a smile on your face.

Yes, your dog regulates your nervous system! Research confirms it, all that snuggling is excellent for your mental health.

Interacting with a therapy dog has been found to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms, decrease physiological arousal (such as heart rate and blood pressure), and improve social skills - we can vouch for this! It's no wonder that being greeted by your dog when you come home can bring about strong feelings of calm and love.

Good Health IS Good Business.

The workplace is changing and having a wellbeing strategy is essential to any happy workplace!

We love bringing such joy to your offices; check out how happy the staff (and pups) were at Subsea 7 and what they had to say about their experience!

“Thank you to the Paws in Work team, we understand the huge benefits these sessions provide to the puppies. In addition the overwhelming feedback we receive from attendees and the success of the day highlights just why we do it!” - Paws in Work attendee

Photos from Paws in Work's post 12/07/2024

Our mission is to create a better life for people and pups, and that also extends to the Paws in Work staff. That’s why last Friday we all had a Paws in Work Wellbeing Day where we spent a fun day out together with the team 💚

We dedicate one day a quarter where our offices are closed, there are no puppy therapy events and mental health training and we put our out-of-offices on. We all have incredibly busy work schedules so this time allows us to put time aside to take a well deserved break and look after our own wellbeing.

Everyone’s mental health is different, and there is no blanket wellbeing ‘activity.’ For this Wellbeing Day we spent it playing arcade games over cocktails and singing karaoke... who knew some our coworker's had secret pop star talents! To save everyone the embarrassment no karaoke videos have been posted 😂

Here’s a sneak peek of one of our puppy play gyms 🐕🎾

Our approach to puppy socialisation involves carefully and gradually introducing the puppies to various new environments and experiences and you also play an important role in this too!

We’ve recently introduced a puppy play gym in our set up which has several positive benefits - from providing physical exercise, to mental stimulation, confidence building and many more other socialisation opportunities.

As you can see our puppy play gyms can provide a fun and enriching environment for young pups to learn, grow, and develop both physical and cognitive skills.

We are looking forward to creating other additions for the puppy play gym such as new toys, different textures, levels and sounds. Keep a look out in our summer garden set up at your next puppy therapy session!

We're disrupting your feed with the cutest staff photo of the month!

Scientific studies have proven that spending time with dogs can boost morale, reduce stress and create a positive work environment.

The proof is in the pudding… Our incredible staff get the opportunity to indulge in some fur-tastic playtime with our adorable pups and you can see just how happy they are at work with our Cavapoo pups ❤️

02/07/2024

How would you describe your perfect day at work?

The answer is simple: With Goldendoodles puppies named after pasta! ❤️

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching the puppies we work with grow into confident, happy, healthy dogs. We love supporting them to pass their puppy ‘pawbation’ ready for their new homes!

28/06/2024

Our puppies travel in style and most importantly safely! Puppies can be vulnerable so their safety is our number 1 priority 🚗🐕

At Paws in Work the pups are travelling with their siblings and by the end of their time with us, they associate the travel with playtime and fun which all adds to the positive reinforcing experience.

It is the Puppy Welfare teams responsibility to ensure the puppies arrive at the event space in an organised and professional manner, reducing stress for the pups, the handlers, and the clients... and our puppy prams aid in doing just this!

Photos from Paws in Work's post 27/06/2024

Caution: These photos contain 5 Labrador puppies that are too cute for the internet…

👉🐶 Swipe to meet: Peony, Lavender, Bluebell, Rose and Daisy.

Fun fact: The calm temperament, intelligence, and playfulness make Labs the ideal best friends for any dog lover. They also make great disability assistance animals, like seeing eye dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for the deaf and make the best puppy therapy dogs too (we can vouch for that!)

Fancy some puppy playtime? Enquire here - https://bit.ly/3XCcjEk

3,2,1 say Cockapoos! Staff Pic of The Week goes to the team for this ridiculously adorable selfie of their new fur-friends. We are a constant champion of our canine companions and always want to bark about the special bond we share with our pups ❤️

Fun fact: Because of the Cockapoo’s intelligent and friendly nature, they are often used as therapy dogs. For example, they can visit care homes, hospitals or hospices, or places like schools to give people a much-needed boost and a warm, furry shoulder to lean on. Cockapoos can also be used as service dogs in search and rescue operations or as hearing dogs for the deaf!

12/06/2024

Thumbs up if you can relate 🫣

Puppy therapy can also cure a bad mood! With scientific studies that have proven spending time with dogs can boost morale, reduce stress and create a positive work environment.

The proof is in the pudding, check out what our attendees have said about our puppy therapy events:

💚 98% of attendees felt less stressed after having puppy therapy

💚 81% of attendees said puppy therapy helped them feel less lonely at work

10/06/2024

What we're really doing when our boss asks us how work is going 🤣

A little video to brighten up you feed! Love dogs? So do we! Staff Vid of The Week goes to Harry and his Cockapoo fur friends enjoying an afternoon snuggle session.

Join the calming and very positive mental health benefits of puppy therapy, bring a pillow (if you wish) and turn your out of office on for 25 minutes.

As any dog owner knows, the bond between a dog and its human companion goes beyond mere friendship. Dogs bring joy, comfort, and unconditional love to our lives, but how do they perceive us in return?

Through the use of MRI scans, researchers have discovered that dogs view their owners as family members. This groundbreaking finding provides an insight into the emotional capacity (not that we ever doubted them!) of our beloved furry friends and strengthens the bond between humans and dogs.

Photos from Paws in Work's post 07/06/2024

It's National Best Friends Day tomorrow and there isn't a more stronger bond than with our own dogs who have been by our side through all the ups and down ❤️

To celebrate the love of our paw-some pets we’ve put together some of our favourite pet photos 👉 Swipe to take a look. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

We'd love to see photos of your best furry friends at home too, share them in the comments!
