Our Story

My love of candles is rooted in my youth. When I was a teenager and young adult, my mother and I would always choose a candle on our family trips to remember that time together. As I became an adult and with children of my own, I had learned to make candles and It became my passion, my creative expression and my emotional outlet.

I literally had a dream of owning my company and after 12 years of learning the how, in 2011, with much support and encouragement to finally turn a dream into a reality, I formed Sparklefly Candle Company. It was my daughter that encouraged me the most. I thought if I don't go after my dream and live joyful, how can I expect her to to do the same. Now, I focus on bringing joy and encouragement to others through my products.

Why We Focus On the Little Things

A few years ago, my mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. This was a difficult time for myself and my family as you can imagine. Although it took much time, support of family and friends and most of all faith in God, I grew to understand the very concepts that I have built into this brand on a very deep and personal level. Every day that we have is truly a gift and if we seek the joy in it, it can be found. Surrounding myself with these messages provided tangible reminders to do this just when I needed them. My hope is that these inspirational quotes will also bring you to joy when you need them.

Why We Use Coconut Wax, H**p Wicks & Other Natural Materials

Simply put, there are enough things to worry about, your candle or Sparkle Stones shouldn't be one of them. We don't add any unnecessary artificial colors, phthalates, paraffin or toxic materials to our line. We use sustainable coconut wax, h**p wicks, natural stones, glass and recycled papers. Our fragrances are gentle and just as carefully selected as the quotes we put on our candles.
