Spent the evening last night at our local zoo lights with our now “practically grown” kids.
I like to remember that we don’t have to “do it all” every year to make special memories. We haven’t been to these lights since our children were very young. The season is about staying connected and present with our families and loved ones

When my children were young they LOVED going outside for ANY reason! In the fall we would collect leaves. Now that they are older they love outdoor water sports, camping and hiking. Nature is a bond that never fails 🍁❄️⭐️

I am a firm believer that we can NEVER have enough books…. Our classroom baskets, shelves and cupboards are FULL yet we continue on.

I love being able to capture moments like these….. a child (among 16 other children) is reading a Halloween book… one that he loves… so engrossed… so happy… so fulfilled….
THIS is the essence Montessori ……
…not certain materials or plans we have…. Just being… content, fulfilled, engaged, happy, and so calm….
