Eventhough Electronics is an ubiquitous thing in the new Era, most people seems to be ignorant about its Presence & Existence!
Starting from the tiniest gadget on your table to the invisible Wi-Fi signals, ranging through an array of big and small machines and appliances spread across the Offices and Houses, Electronics is a sturdy and loud presence in Modern Life!

In Aviation, it is more than just a latent presence. Take a look, far or close, you can count one by one, those Equipment & Facilities what we call as Back-bone of ATS!

But still, are the laymen literate enough to agree to its significance?? Many a times its been acknowledged as a minimal, insignificant & trivial technology. Meanwhile, the Real Aviation Tech is soaring to new heights where Future is entirely different from what we have perceived till now.

And thus the Skill sets & Knowldge of ATSEP (CNS Personnel) also is being updgraded. It is a Demanding arena; because in Aviation, Technology never stagnates! We are stumbling into newer Logics & Principles every now and then. And hence Expertise never gets time to Grow Old and become the Fine Wine!!! An ATSEP has this pressure to Learn and Understand Systems quickly and has to assimilate the fine lines of underlying Principles to attend to the various Challenges & Problems!
It is always about Converging to the Right Cause and achieving the Lowest MTTR!! This requires a Keen Mind, Sheer Understanding & a Brilliant Capacity of Comprehension.

The vastness of this field looks so diminshed by the name Communication, Navigation and Surveillance, since the ATSEP profile also includes Automation, a major breakthrough by which the ATS has seen a colossal Decluttering! And the Simplification has hit a new high!!
In addition to it, there comes Airport Systems, taken care by ATSEPs in AAI-Airports, with an ensemble of Facilities/Equipment which are going-through a watershed period of conspicuous Tech-change!! See how the Explosive Trace Detectors have evolved over the last decade! Now we deploy portable ones, which are free of Tubes and Radioactive elements!!

The Responsibilities & Challenges are not getting any less, but the Sphere of Concentration is changing! We are in a highly Volatile sector, in respect of Technology and the present ATSEPs are getting that Stunning Opporunity to Cater to an ever Effervescent Sector called Aviation!
