Had a blast with the Moore team during their corporate event last week! We covered the basics of pickleball and worked as a team to build on key skills. Hope to have them back again in the future to see how far they have come!

PIVOT!
Should I Back Up? Yes and No! Let’s try and maintain our position at the Kitchen Line by incorporating the Pivot. This should also us some extra time and space to hit the but also enable us to return to the Kitchen Line quite easily. If you’ve mastered this, let’s look to start taking more dinks(and shots in general) out of the air! #pickleball #PickleballTips #pickleballlessons #pickleballcoach

Backhand Roll
Ben Johns Backhand Roll - since I use his paddle, do I have this shot mastered? Not quite, but I have been having some good success after making a tweak or two! Try it out and let me know how it works for you. Updated: I have a bit more success with it when using the Perseus over the Hyperion. #pickleball #PickleballTips #pickleballlessons #pickleballcoach

The # 1 mistake I see when watching players practice their cross court dink, is standing too far out wide on the court. That is an unrealistic position for you to stand during game play so it makes no sense to stand there when practicing. Practice your dinks while maintaining your position in the middle and up at the kitchen line! #PickleballTips #pickleballlessons #pickleball #pickleballcoach

When pulled out wide or put into a precarious position, I would love for you to try to dink a ball safely to the middle instead of trying to hit an aggressive shot(whether it be a sharp angled cross court dink or an aggressive “all or nothing” speed up. Try the middle dink, recover back to the kitchen line, and fight to see another ball! #pickleball #pickleballtips #pickleballcoach JOOLA Pickleball Dill Dinkers Pickleball

Forehand Roll and Dink
Topspin Roll Forehand Dink- AB Style! We are getting our forehand dinks in, now we want to make them a smidge more aggressive. What I love about the topspin forehand dink is it keeps the ball closer to the net(depth wise) and can push your opponent back and out wide. Joola teammate Anna Bright does this very well but it’s her preparation for the shot that allows her so much success. Check it out as I break it down! #pickleballtips #pickleball #pickleballlessons JOOLA Pickleball Dill Dinkers Pickleball

Forehand Dinks
Do you struggle to hit a forehand dink? And either pop it up, hit it into the net, or just bail out of a dink rally and speed one up? A couple issues I see are players with tight grip and using a lot of wrist action. By watching two phenomenal players, Collin Johns and Anna Leigh Waters, we get a look at two great forehand dinkers. #pickleballtips #pickleball #pickleballlessons JOOLA Pickleball Dill Dinkers Pickleball

Josh J Pickleball x UltraSlide
Who knew getting my butt kicked could be so fun! I try to get in a workout with my UltraSlide Slideboard as often as I can. A few months into consistent use and I can feel a difference in my balance and speed on the court. Definitely my favorite cross training tool to use in the gym or at home! #ultraslide #pickleballtraining
