Not a God thing
Let’s stop this conversation now, cuz God has nothing to do with it.
Stop asking God why he allowed this, and start asking why we did.
This, is not a God thing.
And I’m tired of people invoking him like it is.
This, is a man thing.
Ingrained for generations,
Infused in life blood of this white supremacist nation,
Allowed to run rampant by stagnated legislation,
Our safety held hostage by political donations.
So stop telling us it’s a God thing while we wonder who’s next.
Stop telling us it’s a God thing while NRA cuts you a check.
We know where your loyalties lie, and it ain’t with the people who’s lives you represent.
Keep your forked tongue between your teeth and God’s name out your mouth. He’s too busy looking at the blood on your hands anyway.
