The Chapter hosts events throughout the year to connect alumni and friends, including networking socials, community service projects and fun family events. Hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Florida International University (FIU), the Festival benefits FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. Each year, more than 1,200 students and volunteers gain invaluable real-world experience with the Festival – which serves as an interactive educational platform for the future leaders of the hospitality industry. To date, the Festival has raised more than $26 million for the School.

The 2017 Season Kicks Off Tomorrow @ 6pm
Your FIU Footballteam will travel to Orlando, FL to take on the UCF Knights on Thursday, August 31st. The game, which will air on CBS Sports Networks (CBSSN), is slated to kick off at 6:00 p.m. ET.
The game can also be heard on AM 790 the Ticket with AJ Ricketts (play-by-play) and Hurlie Brown (color analyst) on the call. Fans can listen by tuning into 790 on their AM dial or by logging onto www.theticketmiami.com.

This is when our entire FIU family, including our alumni, will come to campus for a week of fun. There will be rallies, parades, concerts and other exciting events that highlight our traditions, accomplishments and student-athletes. You’re not going to want to miss a minute!
Mark your calendars now: Homecoming Week 2017 starts Saturday, October 28 and runs through Saturday, November 4 – culminating that night as FIU Football takes on the University of Texas at San Antonio for our big Homecoming game!
But don’t worry -- you don’t have to wait until then to join the excitement because we’re kicking off our countdown to Homecoming 2017 next week!
Join us for Carnival: The 100 Day Countdown to Homecoming on Thursday, July 27 from 7 – 10 p.m. at MMC between the Blue and Gold Garages! There will be food trucks, free giveaways, a DJ battle and much more!

FIU vs. FAU is a rivalry that does not involve shaking hands Host Florida International defeated Florida Atlantic 33-31 on Saturday night and gets to keep the Shula Bowl Trophy, which goes to the winner of this annual rivalry, at least until they meet again.
