Almost three months away from home, only three weeks to go. 10,000+ photos to sift through, here’s a few where I did 🍋
There’s been so few chances to create music whilst traveling. I really didn’t expect that, it’s been strange. I miss my friends and my family, and enormously I miss creating music and singing with this little bunch. Very much feeling the pull towards home and creativity again, and that is a nice thing to feel.

🖤🖤🖤
Naarm/Melbourne-based Alternative Folk Rock band Run Rabbit Run is the collaboration of two friends and singer-songwriters Casey Martin and Michael Roberts, alongside bandmates Felicity, Michael, and Doug. 🐰
Their music forms a colliding soundscape that moves seamlessly from low, brooding alt-folk to reverb-soaked post-rock, their instrumentation mired expertly to thought-provoking and honest lyricism. The 2017 release of their debut EP ‘Bloodline’ saw the band on two East-Coast Australian tours. In 2019, the release of their follow up single ‘Faker’ from the upcoming sophomore EP ‘If I Am Not Afraid of Death’ landed plays on Triple J’s Roots ‘n’ All, with the video clip (produced & directed by the bands own Michael Roberts) finding a home on MTV’s ‘Upload’. Run Rabbit Run’s sophomore EP is set for release late 2022. 🔥
Supporting them are Amy Po***ck and ere lo.

Thank you all sweet people for such a lovely experience yesterday, for nice chats and for hearing me play some old sad songs and some newer, also sad songs. It’s really a treat to play a gentler acoustic set every so often, thanks .yard for giving a space for me to do that 🖤 We’re all very excited for the next band show with this sweet little gang of friends 🙏🏻
Also I played some keys for ’s set earlier in the day, which is such a lovely time. Hopefully more of that very soooon
📸 ~ when I’m 85 and looking back at old pictures of my life, likely through some hi-tech device embedded in my brain, these photos will definitely give all of the nostalgic happy tears.
Casey is playing a solo set (or two) this afternoon (5:30pm) at the lovely little thing. Catch ere lo’s set a little earlier at 2:30pm as well 🖤🖤
Thank you to all beautiful souls who welcomed us back to the stage last Friday. It was a strangely new yet somehow homely feeling to be back after so long, and it went way too fast. More to come, we have to 🖤🖤
Thank you and for just being such a hectic combo of feels and good energies ✨

~ HASSALL ~
_______________
Stirring together addictive vocal hooks, taboo topics & lyrics that are relatable in the way you don’t want to admit, she emerges into a style self-described as ‘Australian sharehouse-pop’. Fresh, yet familiar, jangly guitar and countrysoulsex-esque vocals compliment her inexhaustible lyrics, just as conversational as they are confessional, self-critical and considerably crude.
~ LEO ~
_______________
Leo is a solo musician based in Naarm/Melbourne. Playing in the indie-folk rock genre, their songs blur the lines between mental health, dark humour, and the mundane. After the release of their debut single ‘Doctor’, Leo will be releasing ‘Half Unconscious’ and debuting a full band later in 2022. From their current intimate live sets, Leo’s full band arrangement will lean further into their influences including Nick Cave, Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy.
