Congratulations to the girls on our softball team that were named to the Shore Conference Coaches All Division B Central Team.

Violet Moynihan, Gianna, Divina, Maggie Turnbach, Stevie Greco, and Lily Rogers.

Maggie was also named B Central Player of the Year! 

A huge congratulations to our coach Paul Gallagher for being named Coach of the year. 🎉🎉🎉

We are so proud of you all!

NJ.com 2024 NJ High Schools Game Changers Sport Award Winner - BELMAR ZOO.

Congratulations to our very own Belmar Zoo. Members of the zoo attended the awards ceremony on Monday in Rahway where they were presented with the Game Changers winners plaque for BEST GAME DAY SUPPORTERS. If you have attended any of our basketball games over the years you would have seen our students in various themed outfits: USA, Western, Business Casual or even color coordinated shirts displaying lots of passion while supporting our teams. We are so proud of our students and their display of school spirit.

Congratulations to Jack Tiernan and the Jersey Shore team in the 2024 Carpenter cup tournament.  In the first game on Monday they defeated Mercer County 4-3, on Thursday they defeated Chester County 9-6. Next they will play on Monday, June 24 at Citizens Benk Park in Philadelphia.

Congratulations to Maggie Turnbach and the Shore Conference All Star teams!! South won the game 9-1. Maggie was honored on Thursday before the game as the recipient of the Jimmy Griffin scholarship.

Congratulations to Josh Huisman!!! 

🥇Josh placed first in the shotput at the Meet of Champs today! Joe Seib placed 5th and Fiona Olsen placed 16th in 100H. Josh also placed 4th in the discus. 

What an incredible career Josh has had at St Rose as a thrower. He will continue on his athletic career at University of Michigan.

Yesterday at the final day of NJSIAA non-public B track meet Josh Huisman took 1st place, Joe Seib 3rd, and JJ LaTesta earned 4th in shot put!!!

Fiona Olsen earned 2nd in 100H and 5th in HJ. She also placed 6th in the triple jump.

Max Lindung placed 6th in javelin.

Josh, Joe, and Fiona all qualified for the Meet of Champions!!

Congratulations to the entire team and our amazing coaches on a great season.

Today, in the first day of competition, at the NJSIAA Non-Public B track meet Jackie DAltrui placed 4th in the pole vault. Fiona Olsen placed 6th in the 400H, Matt Erin placed 3rd in the 3200m.

Josh Huisman broke the school record in the discus and placed 2nd overall and Joe Seib placed 3rd.

Sophia Fontanez advanced to finals in the javelin with a person best of 80ft.

Great work roses. Keep it up tomorrow.

On Friday, our softball team played their last home game on Fletcher field. They earned a 12-5 win against Bishop Eustace.

The team traveled to Holy spirit yesterday and fell in the quarterfinal round ending their terrific season. 

Congratulations girls and coaches on a great season. We are so proud of you!!

On Tuesday Baseball advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament with a 11-1 win over the Ranney school. Our seniors played their last home game on Fletcher field.

Today they travel to Gloucester Catholic for 1:30 start.

Senior Davis Dugan was honored today at the NJSIAA scholar athlete luncheon. Davis is a 3 sport athlete and a top 10 student at St Rose. Scholar athletes from all over the state attended this luncheon at the Pines Manor in Edison. Each athlete in attendance was awarded a $500 scholarship from the NJSIAA.

Congratulations Davis! We are so proud of you.

Congratulations to Joseph Murphy and Alexandra Mitchell who were selected to represent St Rose High School at the Shore Conference Athletic Directors Sportsmanship Award brunch today. These two 3 sport athletes are outstanding in their sports as athletes and great teammates. Congratulations Joey and Alex!!

Shore conference Championships!!!

Congratulations to Fiona Olsen who placed 2nd in 100H and high jump. She jumped 5ft in HJ and broke her own school record with a 15.3 in HH!!

Josh Huisman is the Shore Conference Champion in the discus with a throw of 169-0, Joe Seib placed 7th with a PR of 156-10.

Congratulations Fiona!!! This time breaks a 18 year old record while winning the Monmouth County Championship!!!

Our track team competed in Monmouth counties and crushed it!!

Josh Huisman earned 1st place in the discus with a new school record of 171-7. He broke the record of 167-10 held by his brother Andrew Huisman since 2017.

Joe Seib took 6th place in the discus with a throw of 150-2

Fiona Olsen took 4th in Triple jump with a number 2 in school history jump of 33-9.5. She also place 6th in 400IH with a number 4 all-time split In school history 1:10.05.

More Monmouth County Championship races to come on Saturday.

Boys Lacrosse ended their season today with a 11-6 win over Central Regional High School. Although the season was not marked by numerous wins, these boys showed determination and displayed great camaraderie throughout the season. They always had the best attitude at practice and games. With two new coaches leading our team, there will be great things to come from this group of boys. Congratulations!!!
