Back to the basics. Elemental alchemy symbols are available now! I make these without a bail so you have the option to flip them around to represent two different elements in one pendant. I love putting these together, so if you’re looking for a symbol and don’t see it listed I would love to create a custom order for you!

First time slicing geodes open for me this week at the shop, it was a little intense cutting straight through stone with a saw but so satisfying! Look at these beauties!

Welcome!

My name is Colleen and I am the artist and designer of Electroalchemy. I make jewelry inspired by nature, mythology, horror, and sci-fi as well as abstract, minimalist and mid-century modern aesthetics.

I am from Phoenix, Arizona and was raised by and grew up around makers and creators. Since 1999 I have studied and worked in technical theatre and film with a focus on stage management, lighting, costuming and prop design. In 2011 I started taking studio courses in lost wax casting as I finished my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. Under the instruction of Bill Jamieson, I learned how to work with bronze, silver, and gold using the lost wax casting method and instantly fell in love with the process. I was able to combine my knowledge of design through costuming with the satisfaction of sculpting by hand to bring wearable pieces of art to life. I have been adding to my knowledge ever since! In 2015, I moved to South Florida and am a full time jewelry artist. I now use several different creative processes in my work including electroforming, hand forging, torch fired enameling, wire wrapping, riveting, lapidary, sculpting, and precious metal casting.

I love textures and forms found in nature, especially in the area of mycology. Spores, mushrooms, lichens, even D&D slime monsters and ancient Lovecraftian beings are all inspirational to me in their chaotic organization. I love that there is still so much to discover — whether it’s fungi, the deep sea, space exploration, or our own minds, and I find that from the micro to the macro scale there are many details and patterns that I would love to explore with my work.

I hope you enjoy, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by. ^.^
