Love seeing these older wonderful pics. What a great sport.
Notice now, how we are so much more relaxed in the unarmed arm, but these guys kept them up that way for hours a day. Can you imagine? Yeah some of us can, this practice wasn't really softened up till well into the late 70's and is still used by some of the senior fencers of today.
What is more comfortable for you? Some put their extra arm behind their back, some off to the side, some outward. You?

FIE Foil Grand Prix and SJCC Coming to Washington, D.C., in March 2024 The combined tournament, powered by Absolute Fencing, will bring the world’s best women’s and men’s foil fencers to our nation’s capital. Plus, we’re hosting it alongside an SJCC, where juniors and cadets will compete for national points.
