This Palm Sunday we reflect on the reality that as Jesus walked toward His sacrificial death, He held both the weight of what would come next and the Joy of the salvation and rescue His people would receive when He fulfilled God's promise.

Although He faced death, Jesus could be joyful, knowing that we would be made new in Him! Death, sin, and evil would soon be defeated. Joy was coming!

Through His great and selfless love shown on the cross, Jesus reminds us we can hold sorrow for the pain we may endure, but hope and rescue is coming! We can cry out with confidence that we have life because of His love for us, and that same love continues to surround us in whatever we walk through.

When I count my blessings, I count you twice. (Or 3 times!) Not only are you my Mom, but you’re also my Best Friend. (& the best Nana there is, too!) Growing up, I always knew you were a great Mom. But there’s something about being an adult that makes me appreciate you even more. Because now I understand you weren’t just raising me— you were giving me values, building my character, and showing me what matters most in life— love. And that, we never lacked.
