Like the Mediterranean diet, Palestinian meals are wholesome, packed with gut supportive food and vegetables without being bland or boring.
What is your favorite Middle Eastern or Palestinian dish?
Donβt forget, we are people who are equal to other humans.

Pray for a free Palestine
In shadows deep, where olive trees weep,
A silent hope begins to creep.
A land of dreams, yet bound by chains,
Palestineβs heart endures the pains.
The moon above, with wistful sighs,
Watches as the yearning cries.
Childrenβs eyes reflect the plea,
For a future where theyβre free.
Through ancient streets and fields of stone,
Echoes of a freedom known.
No more walls to cage the dove,
A dream of peace, a hope of love.
With every step on sacred ground,
A longing for the freedom found.
Palestine, your spirit yearns,
For the day when peace returns
URGENT UPDATE: Acute Malnutrition Doubles in Northern Gaza! Recent UN, UNICEF & partner nutrition screening reveals a shocking reality: 1 in 3 children under the age of 2 are suffering from acute malnutrition.
Tragically, 23 children have already lost their lives due to aid restrictions imposed by Israel.
February 2024 screenings show a staggering 4.5% of children in Northern Gaza are facing severe wasting, the deadliest form of malnutrition. Malnutrition rates skyrocket from 15% to 25%. UNICEF Executive Director warns of the situation worsening daily, despite repeated efforts to deliver aid with unnecessary restrictions. UNICEF is ready to provide therapeutic food & vital nutrients, such as (RUTF), Ready to Use Infant Formula and preventative micronutrient supplements containing iron and other essential nutrients for pregnant women. but itβs not enough. An Immediate humanitarian ceasefire is necessary to save lives.

Creating Traditional Palestinian Dishes.
Recently, I saw a post of men eating middle Eastern food and saying less Ha mas and more humus .
I felt deeply offended.
Not only were they mocking the Arabic language, but they were shoving traditional Arab food in their mouths knowing fully well that while they laugh, their Arab human brothers were being deprived of food, water and electricity.
To honour the beautiful culture of Palestinian food, I will share more Palestinian recipes. This includes legume dips, breads, soups, special rice dishes and more .
If you are new to my page, I have already shared Shish tawook. Please let me know if you need the recipe.

Your digestion and heart health are deeply intertwined with your thoughts. Keep readingβ¦
I had to talk about this because it's as real and personal as it gets!
As a nutritionist, photographer, and content creator, I'm constantly on social media, sharing health information to enhance your metabolism and hormone health in an entertaining and informative way.
But here's the thing - being immersed in the digital world for too long took a toll on my well-being.
Anxiety crept in, making me avoid social interactions and wreaking havoc on my digestion. Nausea, lack of creativity, neck pain, eye tension - they all became unwelcome companions.
That's when I knew I had to break free. So, I ditched my screens and spent an entire weekend outdoors, embracing the breathtaking beauty of Niagara Falls. And let me tell you, it was nothing short of a rebirth!
Nature's embrace rekindled my creativity, revitalized my energy, and reignited my motivation to share positive information that can help you live an amazing life and become your best self.
This eye-opening experience taught me a vital lesson: our health begins with our minds. The intricate connection between our brain, heart, and digestion is undeniable. When anxiety takes over, our heart races, digestion falters, and our body goes into a heightened state, prepared for threats that might not even exist.
Now, let me ask you something important. Do you take the time to listen when your mind calls for relaxation and recharge? Or do you overlook the clues, allowing your body to suffer from symptoms your mind could have prevented?
Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! ππ» Let's keep it raw and genuine, as we embark on this journey together. Discovering the secrets to a healthier, happier, and more fulfilled life lies within us!

Is fasting good for hormone health?
The answer is yes but sometimes no. Are you confused? Keep reading..
Let me explain..
With Ramadan around the corner, many people will be fasting for spiritual + health purposes, including myself.
The majority of the time fasting is an excellent way to optimize overall health and metabolism.
Fasting has shown to improve hormone health in women who have metabolic conditions such as hypothyroidism, PCOs, blood sugar imbalances, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other metabolic disruptions associated with their hormone imbalance.
However, there should always be guidance of a health practitioner.
Women who have hormonal imbalances coupled with nutritional deficiencies and participate in extraneous exercise routines with lower calorie intake will not find their hormones to improve with further fasting unless under the supervision of a practitioner to maximize nutritional and macro status.

Sourdough and Rye French Toast (check out the recipe and benefits of sourdough bread below). Have you tried this recipe yet ?
I was craving French toast and decided to make a healthier version; of course I had to share the recipe with you all !
You could have this recipe with sweet or savoury options In the video I display fruit or eggs.
π« Sourdough bread is quite the whole food ! Itβs easier to digest, can be more blood sugar balancing and high in antioxidants. The bread is lower in gluten and easier to digest for many. It also acts as a prebiotic, which can improve digestion. β¨
French Toast π
- 6 thick and wide sourdough mixed with rye toast slices
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk of your choice
- 1 tsp monk fruit
- 1 tsp easily dissolvable date sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
For frying π³
- Regular or plant based spare butter and olive oil for frying.
Toppings:
-strawberries and strawberry jam without added sugar.
Or
-eggs and butter
Directions. Prepare the bread and set aside. In a wide mixing bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Dip the slices of bread into the egg mix on each side, making sure to coat well. Prepare a wide frying pan; drizzle in some olive oil and small pieces of butter. Set the stove to high - medium heat and allow the bread to fry on each side for 1 to 2 minute or until golden-brown on both sides . Serve with strawberry π jam that has no added sugar and cut up strawberries. If savoury, add eggs and butter. Enjoy !
Let us know in the comments if stress management is a priority in your wellness journey and which stress management method you practice?
Itβs more than obvious that stress is one of the major contributors to health problems.
Whether you eat a diet rich in various plants, or consistently exercise, not learning to cope with emotional triggers and excessive stress impacts the nervous system and slows your journey to wellness and feeling like your best self.
Not learning to cope with stress impacts your hormones, gut microbiome, sleep quality and more.
This is why Iβve teamed up with a fellow nutritionist & energy healer to bring you some collaborative videos about ways to cope with stress and why itβs important.
