We would like to thank Skidegate Band Council and Old Massett Village Council for their generous support of our program. This four day therapeutic retreat was a resounding success; north and south coming together, supporting each other moving forward as survivors of sexual violence.
Two-Spirit workshops hosted by Strong Minds!!!
Open to all of Haida Gwaii - No registration required just show up!!!
Our retreat for survivors of sexual violence is FULL! We are very honoured to be working with eight survivors, four from the south and four from the north, building a community of support.
The application form remains open. If you fill out an application form we will put you on the waitlist. Having a waitlist also helps us convince funders that there is a need for these retreats.
Recent events here in the south have highlighted how far we still have to go to combat violence against our women. However, I am heartened to see how many women and men have spoken up and shone a light on this “private matter.” It is not okay. We will not accept this. We will stand together.
