Hi everyone! Milla Vane here, and I'm so thrilled to be celebrating Fantasy Romance February with you!

About fifteen years ago, I started out writing paranormal and steampunk romance as Meljean Brook. Now I write barbarian fantasy romance, which is basically the way that I incorporate everything I loved as a kid into one dark, sexy, romantic package.

The trilogy is called A Gathering of Dragons, and my first book -- A HEART OF BLOOD AND ASHES -- came out almost exactly a year ago. I followed up with A TOUCH OF STONE AND SNOW in mid-2020, and coming this year is the conclusion to the trilogy with A DANCE OF SMOKE AND STEEL.

One of my favorite things about writing fantasy romance is that I get to tell the kind of stories that I want to read -- which means plenty of action, sexy times, and angst. I'm a sucker for any enemies-to-lovers story, because that conflict is just so delicious (and so hot!) Combined with fierce heroines, heroes who will tear the world apart to protect those they love, evil sorcerers and carnivorous dinosaurs, and it's simply the best job that anyone could ever have.
