Watch out Adders are about!
Adders are the only venomous snakes in the UK and are often out in the sun on the sand dunes at this time of year.
Adder bites can be fatal in dogs if left untreated, symptoms to look out for are:
Severe swelling around the site of the wound
Pain, such as limping or holding up a leg
Bleeding or bruising
Inflammation from the spread of venom
Increased heart rate or quickened breathing
Drooling
Vomiting
Lethargy or general weakness
If you suspect your dog has been bitten by an adder phone your Vet for advice π

These pups lives have changed today. They have been neutered and given treatment for ailments and injuries. They have been vaccinated and wormed and will be feeling much better soon. here Jackie is monitoring them post procedure during their recovery period, the most risky part of any anaesthetic. They are in good hands while she shows clinic staff 'best practice' in this situation to prevent any fatalities which unfortunately can happen if the appropriate monitoring isn't provided. We want to help many many more clinics in this way, can you help us to get to them? If you can help in any small way please find the link to our gofundme page below...π

This gorgeous pup in one of the days patients visiting the charity clinic for treatment. She is one of many on the schedule that seems to never end, it's a constant race against the rate of reproduction amongst the unneutered dogs! The more we can raise the more we can help. Please see the link to our gofundme page below...π

The more the merrier! This picture shows a lovely blend of staff at The Centre of Hope working alongside our volunteers, Jackie, Abbi, Leanne and Rhiannon. We want to be able to send more volunteers and bigger teams to more places β€οΈ

The benefits of population control includes less disease and less competition for food. Charities will offer many other treatments alongside neutering to these pups including vaccinations and parasite control. πΎ
This is Nata, one of the Vets at The Centre for Hope in Romania working alongside Leanne one of our volunteers monitoring this patients anaesthesia during a neutering procedure. One of our main focuses is to help charity clinics improve their anaesthesia methods and protocols. As you can imagine this is one of the most risky aspects to any surgery and they welcome any improvement with guidance. In the UK, anaesthesia is performed by Registered Veterinary Nurses so we are more than happy to share our knowledge to improve patient safety wherever we can π. We are reaching out to everyone to ask for your support in getting us to these clinics so that we can help share our skills far and wide. Please find the link to our gofundme page below...

These cuties are the morning arrivals for neutering. They will all have their procedures as soon as possible and returned later on that day.
These charities are doing an amazing job by trying to keep the street dog population down π€
Have you ever been to Sri Lanka? It is a very beautiful country full of culture and wonderful food and an estimated 1-3 million street dogs on an island 3.7 x smaller than the UK. This high population leads to suffering and disease. To try to keep their numbers down charities on the island run constant spey and neuter clinics which are run on donations and by volunteers.
Some of these charities welcome our help, we provide assistance with protocols and help to upskill staff, working together for animal welfare.

Many dogs are commonly dumped at the fish markets in Negombo, Sri Lanka.
This poor sweet soul is taking a nap and probably dreaming of some fishy snacks! The fish are laid out on these lengths of plastic sheeting. Many charities will take to the streets and capture these dogs for treatment, vaccinations and a good meal or two β€οΈ

We will not stop giving our time and skills for free as long as you are able to help support us with donations, so please if you are able.... the link to our gofundme page is below and every little really does go a long way - global in fact!!

We did it! Three mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24hrs πͺβ°οΈπ₯³ check us out π πβ°οΈπͺ
Thanks to everyone that has supported us!
On the 13th July, myself and a group of friends will be attempting to climb the highest Mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24 hour period including travel. This amounts to approximately the distance of a marathon with 3064 meters of ascent and 462 miles of driving. We have chosen to do this to try and raise money for a number of charities that are dear to us:
Cornwall Air Ambulance - need no introduction. Respond to the critically ill and injured across Cornwall, provide expert treatment and rapid transport to hospital.
Outreach Paramedics - a local based humanitarian charity who provide volunteer frontline Paramedics, medical aid and equipment is in response to crisis.
Cornwall Hospice Care - provide expert care and compassion to those who are coming to the end of their lives and support their families.
UK Vet Nurses Worldwide - Vet Nurses that travel worldwide to upskill veterinary staff by providing advanced and hands-on training to local organisations and charities which includes emergency care, anesthesia and disease management.
Any support would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you in advance.

4 lives changed! These pups are in recovery from their neutering surgery with Leanne one of our volunteers.
Recovery is one of the most dangerous times of any anaesthetic so Leanne's skills will help to detect any issues with these patients before it's too late is invaluable to us and more importantly to these precious dogs. Please find the link to our gofundme page below if you feel you could help...

This beautiful little soul is one of approximately 4.37million feral cats in Romania. This vast population means that disease amongst them is common and mostly untreated leading to a host of welfare issues. Their lives are tough but UK Vet Nurses Worldwide are trying to make an impact. Our impact may only be small but each life we can help is totally worth it to us. We donate our time and veterinary skills, could you help too? The link to our gofundme page is below... meow! π―

This is Abbi, she is a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Cornwall UK, monitoring the anaesthetic of a patient at The Centre of Hope in Romania during one of their many neutering clinics.
We know that they and the patients were very grateful.
Any donations will help us to send more 'Abbi's' to other clinics in need of veterinary professional volunteers - they will donate their time and skills in return β€οΈ. Please find link to our go fund me page below - thank you in advance for any assistance you can afford π

If any Vets or Nurses would like to come along to help send us a message βοΈ πΎ
In January Jackie went to Sri Lanka to help out in Negombo with the Dogstar Foundation.
This local lady certainly is happy that her beloved pet gets their 1st class treatment. Lucky dog β€οΈ
Beautiful Bucharest! The sad facts are that you cannot walk the streets of this city for 5 minutes without encountering a stray dog. It is estimated that there are 64,000 of them in the Romanian capital. That is one for every 30 residents in this city alone π. Please help us to help them have an impact on the welfare of these souls. If you are able to donate so that we can provide our assistance with this issue we would be so very grateful. Please find the link for donations below π

Look at this cutieπ! As cute as kittens are, unfortunately many countries are over-run with feral and stray cats. Each day on the streets is a struggle for these animals not to mention the spread of untreated diseases being rife. What's the answer..? Neutering clinics. Many governments will not fund this type of control so it's down to charities like us to provide those services by veterinary professional volunteers. Let's fundraise together! Please find our gofundme page at the link belowπ

We have launched a new gofundme page so that we can accept secure donations while we are in the process of securing 'Registered Charity' status :)
This initial goal of Β£2000 will help towards some initial basic needs such as dedicated scrubs for our theatre work, meet and greet trips for our founder Jackie to introduce the work this great charity does and all that we can offer, advertising and editorials for increased awareness..... the list goes on!
We look forward to any help that you can offer in reaching our goal. We are all very excited to get out there!!
