A majority of activities in the early years were set up as a result of high HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Kisumu.

Kisumu Youth Net Group is a non partisan, non profit gender balanced community based organization founded in 2002 and registered in 2003 with the Ministry of Culture and Social Services of the Kenyan Government and is located in Nyalenda Kilo.
