“Kole was diagnosed with bilateral, moderate to sever hearing loss at 2 weeks old. He has lost hearing since and now has severe / profound loss. we started learning ASL when he was 4 months old. Now, at 20 months old (1 year 8 months) we use ASL on a daily biases along with verbalizing our words. ASL has opened up so much opportunity for us and helped us feel more welcomed into the deaf community. I am so happy to be able to communicate better with others like my son! We take every opportunity to help educate people on the deaf community & offer as many recommendations on resources as we can to those who show interest in learning ASL.” -Hannah Woods
