Just added another batch of one-of-a-kind Upcycled Op Shop Tops!
Pic 1 & 2 - Doubled-sided bomber jacket! One side is steel blue, with the Big Scary patch. The other side is grey, with no patch for when you’ve got to hide your BS fandom. No tags on the garment, but feels like size L
Pic 3 - Smoky pink T-shirt from Collusion. Lovely wide neck hem. It says size S, but actually looks more like a size L to me. This tailoring makes it the pick of the bunch for me!
Pic 4 & 5 - Thin, navy long-sleeve shirt from Globe. Size L. Cotton and tencel blend. A beautifully soft all-rounder
Pic 6 & 7 - Blue/grey minimalist T-shirt from Japanese label Muji. Size L. 100% cotton. Feel cultured, feel comfy

Meadow has added some more boss artists

This is gonna be long and confusing, but here’s some background info on the music biz, the details of which I get a real kick out of :)
Whenever you hear any music being played when you’re out and about - at the cafe, the gym, your hair salon, the supermarket, the pub etc... there is music copyright being exploited to improve your experience - the recorded song AND ALSO the writing behind the song (it’s often the same people involved, but sometimes a song is played by one artist but written by another (think pop stars with ghost writers, or people covering other people’s music)).
TMI, but, the upshot is that in Australia, the businesses playing you OUR music actually pay a licence fee for these exploitations. They pay to OneMusic, who then pay to the songwriters and recording artists.
In the past, we couldn’t know exactly what was being played in every business, so best guesses were made based on charts etc. BUT now OneMusic Australia is rolling out these little listening devices called Audoo, which will be able to identify the actual song being played, and therefore the correct people will eventually get paid. This is a really important stream of income for creators!
To kick off the rollout we’ve got one signature Big Scary Audoo device out there, and it’s being used by a great local business called Better Than Ever. Thanks Better Than Ever for paying artists, and thanks One Music for investing in the tech to make it all fairer.
I was only asked to do a simple post about this, but I think it’s fun to learn about this stuff - comment with a taco if you agree! Always happy to nerd out on this if anyone wants to DM.
