The Teashop is now closed for good due to lthe virus but Mal and Sally will be opening a new place o
Mal originally from Loughton recently returned from France where her husband Micky and herself ran rural guest houses. After returning to England they settled in Gedney near Spalding to retire. But Mal got itchy feet and due to her love of afternoon teas and crafts she decided to open a vintage tea shop that will also sell crafts made by local artists and crafts people. Mal found the perfect locat
ion in the next village of Long Sutton where Pat Pitkin and her son Lloyd had recently retired from the floristry business. There are so many talented artists and crafts people in the area that Mal wanted to give people a communal location to sell their work. The tea shop will enable many people to showcase their beautiful items from paintings, textile art, hand made cards, handmade dolls and teddy bears, jewellery and much much more. The shop will be a local art and craft meeting point where people can look at each other's arts and crafts, swap ideas, create news ideas and chit chat over a cup of tea or coffee. An old childhood friend of Mals told another friend and crafts person called Sue about the idea for the shop. Sue from Essex was previously an International visual merchandiser and store designer who whilst between jobs was looking for something to fill her time with. Mal and Sue met up and started designing and decorating the store with the help of Pat and Lloyd. Every day new ideas were suggested, discussed and created which finally ended up with the wonderfull, individual vintage tea and craft shop we hope everyone will enjoy visiting. Mal would like to thank everyone who helped set up the shop including, Micky, Pat, Lloyd, Sue, Paul and his plumbers, Steve and his carpenters, Ollie and his electricians, Stuart bike man, Charlotte the website designers and the support of all friends and family.
