I've been approached by several churches excited about the viral National Fund for Sacred Places grant. This opportunity supports urgent preservation projects for historic sacred places, offering grants from $50,000 to $500,000. But here's a crucial detail:
Matching Funds Requirement: Grants up to $175,000 need to be matched dollar for dollar. Grants above $175,000 require doubling the granted amount in matching funds.
Plus, 25% of these matching funds must be in place before receiving any grant funds.
This grant is a fantastic chance for historic faith buildings to be preserved and serve communities for generations. However, eligibility includes the ability to meet these matching fund requirements.
📅 Deadline Alert: LOI due by February 29, 2024. Time is of the essence! If your congregation meets all criteria and is prepared for the matching fund challenge, I will create and submit the LOI for your church.
