Just 4 days to go until our Summer Fair at Rushton CE First School.

We are very excited to announce that we are hosting a Fun Dog Show and would like to invite you and your lovely, well behaved dogs to take part! Entries will be taken from 1pm, Judging to commence at 2pm.
The show will be judged by Rev Will Drain, our Curate in Charge at St Lawrence Church, Rushton.

Lots of fun for all the family from 1pm, BBQ, Refreshments, Games and lots more! Bollington Brass Band will also be providing entertainment! 🎺

🌱🌱Plant Sale 2024🌻

We have plants for sale on the shelves outside the blue school gate, and this will continue for the whole summer term. We just ask for donations either cash or online with reference ‘plants’.

All donations of seedlings/plants for us to sell are also most welcomed, thank you! 🤩

We are well into May and the sun has finally appeared, hurrah.

The lovely Miss Ball at Rushton School is hosting a coffee morning in ‘The Willows’ class room on Saturday 27th April.
Everyone is welcome to come and raise funds for a very special charity.
Come and see our new classroom in full use whilst having a cuppa and cake 🍰

We are at the start of the second week of the summer term already! Crikey, let’s pray for some of that sunshine.

The kids have already had their trip to Standon Bowers last week which was a huge success and they all had such fun.

The PTA have had a bit of a break but we are back ready to get planning for some summer fun.

Things to look out for:

🟢We will be organising a PTA meeting to start summer term planning so parents/guardians please watch this space 😃

🟢Tina’s Tuck Shop is opening again on Friday afternoons straight after school…lollies, snacks and ice creams will be on sale in the playground for the children so grownups please bring some change 🍭

🟢Tickets are on sale for school lottery £1 a ticket for a weekly draw…there is a winner from our school community every week.

🎄Christmas Wreath Making Workshop 🎄

Last night we held our second wreath making workshop, and it was fantastic. The wreaths were spectacular and everyone had fun!

A massive thank you to Karen Salt Rudyard Flowers who led the workshop and helped us with our creations!

And of course thank you to the team at The Royal Oak, Rushton for hosting both nights (and putting up with the mess!!)

Christmas has arrived in Hedgehog class 🎄🦔🎄

🎄The first of the wreath making workshops held at The Royal Oak, Rushton run by the wonderful Karen Rudyard Flowers was a big success! Thanks to everyone who came please feel free to comment with a picture of your wreath as we would love to see them.

🎄Our Christmas Shopping Extravaganza at Heaton House Farm on Wednesday was a huge success and we wish to say a few thank yous !🎄

⭐️The total raised for our school was: £3076.10⭐️

That is absolutely brilliant!!!

🔴 THANK YOU to each and everyone who came along to support the event, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and had a lovely time!

⚪️THANK YOU to Heaton House Farm for hosting in your beautiful venue (with a super bar and catering) and for all your wonderful support for our school!

🔴THANK YOU to Macclesfield Brass Band for volunteering your time to play, you were fabulous and everyone thoroughly enjoyed your performance!

⚪️THANK YOU to all the stall holders who came to the event, we were thrilled with such a gorgeous selection of stalls and without you this event wouldn’t have been as successful.

🔴And of course THANK YOU to the parents, teachers, friends and businesses who all contributed to this event: from donating the fabulous raffle and tombola prizes, selling or buying raffle tickets, car parking attendants, and those who helped man the school stalls on the night. You are all wonderful and your contributions made it happen.

At the risk of being soppy, we are feeling the love for this community and can’t thank you all enough for the support. 🤩
