For the , Marta presents the live performance "SOLA" on Saturday, Dec 16 at 7:45 pm. Using hair as a symbol, this performance reflects on experiences of loneliness and isolation, but also on solidarity and the hope that holds out against them.

Her practice moves effortlessly between performance, sculpture, video and installation. She is interested in the legacy of feminism, but she also has deep admiration for her male forbears. Curated by Anja Foerschner, researcher and curator of performance art. She explores questions surrounding performance art and its archives and the meaning and challenges of translating ephemeral practice into documents – be they physical or body-based. She is also interested in the relationship between performance art and feminism and understanding both in their idiosyncratic forms within and beyond the Western canon.

“Marta Jovanović, in collaborazione con il compositore Federico Landini, propone per Roma Arte in Nuvola 2023 una performance inedita sul corpo e sull’identità ad esso legata. Tramite l’utilizzo di microfoni e amplificatori, Jovanović regala al pubblico gli intimi e suggestivi suoni prodotti dal contatto tra apparecchiature elettroniche e la sua pelle, opportunamente stimolata dal sound designer. L’artista invita a riflettere sul concetto ontologico di “esistenza”, la quale è testimoniata nel mondo dalle nostre stesse membra. Grazie alla propagazione negli spazi de La Nuvola dei suoni generati durante la performance, il pubblico ha l’opportunità di confrontarsi sia con la materia, rappresentata dal corpo, che con lo spirito, testimoniato da rumori intangibili ed evanescenti. Un accordo di suoni traccia la mappatura del corpo, disegnando un archivio del nostro io con la quale gli spettatori potranno entrare in relazione, osservando a distanza ravvicinata e senza ostacoli lo svolgersi dell’azione.”Valentina Ciarallo
