सुवर्णप्राशनाचे फायदे -
सुवर्णप्राशनं हि ऐतत् मेधाग्निबलवर्धनम् ।
आयुष्यं मंगलं पुण्यं वृष्यं वर्ण्यं ग्रहापहम् ।।
काश्यप संहिता
1.मेंदूचा विकास - लहान मुलांचा मेंदूचा विकास त्यांना दिल्या जाणाऱ्या आहारावर आहे. त्यामध्ये जर सुवर्ण प्राशन दिल्याने मेंदूचा विकास होण्यास मदत मिळते.
2.आकलन क्षमता सुधारते - लहान मुलांच्या मध्ये चंचलता खूप प्रमाणात असते, त्यामध्ये स्थिरता आणून आकलन (एखादी गोष्ट समजून घेण्याची क्षमता) वाढण्यास मदत होते.
3.पचन सुधारते - चमचमीत पदार्थ (वेफर्स, बिस्किटे, कॅडबरी) असे पदार्थ खाण्याचे प्रमाण लहान मुलांच्या मध्ये जास्त असते. याचा परिणाम म्हणून लहान वयात येणार लठ्ठपणा किंवा इतर आजारापासून बचाव करण्याचे काम घडून येते.
4.रोगप्रतिकारशक्ती वाढते - लहान मुलांच्यामध्ये आजारी पडण्याचे प्रमाण अधिक असते याचे प्रमुख कारण कमकुवत रोगप्रतिकारशक्ती हे असते. वातावरणातील बादलांपासून बचाव होतो - ऋतू बदलताना वातावरणात होणाऱ्या बदलामुळे लहान मुले आजारी पडण्याचे प्रमाण खूप आहे . यामध्ये लहान मुलांची रोगप्रतिकारशक्ती सुधारल्यामुळे बदललेल्या वातावरणाशी मुले सहज जुळवून घेऊ शकतात.
5.घातक गोष्टीपासून बचाव होतो- आताच्या काळात शेतामध्ये जो भाजीपाला पिकवला जातो तो पूर्णतः शेंद्रिय खते वापरून पिकवला जात नाही त्यामुळे त्यास वापरल्या गेलेल्या रासायनिक खतांचा अवशेष त्यामध्ये असतो. असा भाजीपाला धुऊन , शिजवून जरी खाल्ला तरी काही प्रमाणात रासायनिक घटक शरीरात जात असतात, त्यापासून बचाव होण्यास सुवर्णप्राशन मदत करते .
6.वर्ण सुधारतो- आता इथे वर्ण याचा अर्थ रंग असे न घेता त्यामुळे त्वचेवर तुकतुकीत पणा म्हणजे तजेलदार पणा निर्माण होतो.
अश्या प्रकारे सुवर्ण प्राशन हे एकूणच शरीराची वाढ, मेंदूची वाढ, ऋतू बदलात होणाऱ्या आजारांपासून संरक्षण आणि शरीराचे बल वाढवण्याचे काम करते .

सुवर्णप्राशन दररोज सकाळी देणे सर्वात फायदेशीर आहे, त्यासोबत प्रत्येक महिन्याच्या पुष्य नक्षत्राला देता येते.

गर्भसंस्कार ही एक आयुर्वेदातील महत्वाचा घटक आहे ज्यामध्ये गर्भधारणेदरम्यान संगीत ऐकणे, मंत्र जप करणे आणि प्रार्थना पाठ करणे यासह विविध अभ्यासांद्वारे गर्भाचे संगोपन करणे समाविष्ट आहे. या गर्भसंस्कार प्रक्रियेमुळे आई आणि गर्भातील मुलासाठी अनेक फायदे आहेत.
महिन्यांनुसार गर्भाची वाढ – आयुर्वेदानुसार वर्णन
पहिला महिना – गर्भधारणा झाल्यापासून गर्भ १ महिन्याचा होईपर्यंत गर्भाचा आकार मांसाच्या गोळ्याप्रमाणे गोल असतो.
दुसरा महिना –शरीराच्या अवयवांची उत्पत्ती होण्यासाठी घन स्वरूप येण्यास सुरुवात होते.
तिसरा महिना – हात पाय डोके यांचे सूक्ष्म स्वरुपात उत्पत्ती झालेली दिसते.
चवथा महिना – हृदयाच्या ठिकाणी स्पंदन जाणवण्यास सुरुवात होते. सूक्ष्म स्वरुपात उत्पत्ती झालेल्या अवयवांची वाढ होण्यास सुरुवात झाली दिसून येते. डोळ्यांची उत्पत्ती देखील याच महिन्यात होते.
पाचवा महिना – मनाची उत्पत्ती या महिन्यात होते. गर्भामधील स्वतंत्र इच्छया डोहाळे स्वरुपात गरोदर महिलेस इथून पुढील काळामध्ये जणू लागतात.
सहावा महिना – या महिन्यापासून गर्भामध्ये बुद्धीचा विकास होण्यास सुरुवात होते. गर्भाच्या त्वचा, स्नायू, केस, नखे यांची वाढ झालेली दिसून येते. या महिन्यापासून गर्भाची हालचाल जास्त जाणवण्यास सुरुवात होते. या महिन्यापासून अकाली प्रसूती नंतर देखील गर्भ जीवित राहू शकतो.
सातवा महिना – या महिन्यापर्यंत गर्भाचे सर्व अवयव तयार झालेले असतात परंतु त्याची पूर्ण वाढ झालेली नसते या महिन्यापासून पुढे गर्भाच्या सर्व अवयवाची वाढ पूर्ण होते.
आठव्या आणि नवव्या महिन्यात गर्भाची वाढ पूर्ण होवून प्रसूतीच्या दृष्टीने शरीर स्वत तयार होण्याण्यास सुरुवात करते.
