I often get asked what style of yoga I teach which can be hard to answer. I often say that we begin with the breath and with settling the mind and body. I invite participants to find in the suggested yoga poses movement that suits their body and that their bodies will enjoy. If something feels good we will want to continue to do it. Every body is different and its usually best to listen to it. I try to never use words like push or stretch, rather words like allow or soften into and if something doesn't feel right don't do it. I believe this helps enormously in avoiding injury and aging well. Having lived for over a decade with fibromyalgia myself this practice of yoga has been been a key factor in helping me stay well. To get a further idea of what this style of yoga is like here's a bit about me and maybe you might like to google some of the teachers/courses. I have been truly blessed so to have and continue to have the most wonderful teachers and their website have lots of fantastic information.
