Not one person knows this. I have not spoken of this because in rescue there is a silent understanding and respect. But now, it's time.
I would like to ask for prayers for an amazing hero for the dogs. Valerie Mullin owns and runs Winnies Legacy Canine Rescue - Dog & Puppies, VT and has saved so very many innocent precious lives. We work simultaneously in saving as many dogs as we can but in 2 different rescues. You save more lives that way.
Valerie has been battling cancer with everything she has to fight. Her and her family, friends, and rescue need our support at this trying time for comfort, peace, respect, and appreciation.
From this point Passion 4 Paws Vermont will, with Valerie's permission, incorporate special rescue dogs that will be "Winnie's Legacy" rescue dogs in honor of Valerie, Winnie, and all of the dogs Valerie and her family have saved so Winnie's Legacy will live on.
Stay tuned...............for our first WL rescue pup! Nancy Veronneau; thank you for being an advocate and hero for Valerie, her rescue, and her saved pups. We will ALL do our best to help from this point.
Valerie, we all love you and even though we all have to stay tough and may not say it, we think it. Stay strong; you have well earned your angel wings. I hope you can take peace that I will do my best to keep your legacy living for the dogs that need you

Our P4P Olympics may be over soon, but are so excited to announce our latest winner....CARDI! 😍

She blew all other competition out of the water and was named SMARTEST GIRL and got the gold! Cardi recently got to hang with our trainer, and in a very short period of time, this super smart girl was blowing us away with her ability to learn.

Cardi is not only a gold medalist, but she is still looking for her forever home. Due to a shortage of fosters, Cardi is in boarding and is not getting the love and human time she deserves. Can you provide a loving home to this beautiful pup? Cardi gal would do best in a home with no small animals, is very treat motivated and super affectionate!

Bernie is 3 years old, male (approx. DOB 4-24-21), 14 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Bernie is shy and scared in new situations and would do best with another dog and should be fine with cats! Once he knows he's safe he's very sweet and loving. He is best with small dogs and scared of big overwhelming dogs. He has walks very well on leash and does great in the house if taken out. Stay tuned for more information as Bernie is a new rescue!

Cooper is 2 years old, male (approx. DOB 6-5-22), 45 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Cooper was saved on his last day at the SC shelter. He does well with dogs big and small, maybe cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), and has the cutest little nub tail; adorable when it wags! Quincey and Jolene are praying with all their paws for a loving host home and are also available for our Foster to Adopt program (prioritized)!

JOLENE – Female, 18 months old, & 44 lbs. We saved Jolene in SC on her last day! She has low-medium energy, loves other dogs and kids, highly likely she is good with cats as she didn’t bother the kitties at daycare, and can be shy in new situations. This precious soul was so scared at the shelter and shy when she arrived at boarding/daycare. It’s been so sweet to watch her learn trust and happiness; she waits for you to tell her she’s a good girl! When her friend Cookie left to Vermont last week she was very sad! Jolene is crate trained, potty trained, and has been a mama dog; we love our mama dogs!

QUINCEY – Male, 18 months old, & 37 lbs. We saved Quincey in NC from an overcrowded shelter in SC out of time! He is very photogenic and would be a fun pup to share your life with! Quincey gets along well with other dogs (loves to play), maybe cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), appears to be potty trained, loves walks on the leash, and has medium+ energy. He is very smart and learns quickly!
