We know that starting a skincare routine can be scary! You want to make sure you are getting the right products to achieve your best skin
Let's debunk some common skincare fears together so you feel confident when building your routine!

1) Breaking out when trying new products is not always a bad thing, this process is called purging. The active ingredients in the products you are using are speeding up the exfoliation process and are bringing oil to the surface. This is completely normal and will likely happen for 1 skin cycle (28 days). With that being said if your skin becomes irritated or inflamed discontinue use immediately!

2) Exfoliating should be a part of everyone's skincare routine! It helps get rid of dirt, oil and dead skin build up on the surface of the skin. You should only exfoliate 2-3 /week because over exfoliating can cause the irritation you initially feared. Physical exfoliators with small beads can also cause micro tears to the skin. This is why Gr8 Skincare uses clay. Clay is a natural exfoliant that extracts dirt + oil from the skin without irritating or over drying. 3) This one is somewhat true. Added perfumes + fragrances can cause irritation to the skin but that doesn't mean if a product smells good, it must have fragrance in it. Our products are naturally fragrant (they smell amazing!) but they come from our all natural ingredients. Be sure you know where the fragrance is coming from before you buy.
