After some years in exile, the Angels are coming back to grace the Astro world once again for the 2019 season.
Lucan’s most successful team ever will be guided again by veteran manager Matty Finlay and will have a few old and new faces in the squad.

4 years since one of our biggest and best victories.

The lads got back to winning ways after a shambolic display last week when losing 4-1. A good display in a 5-0 win. Goals from gally and Danny and a hatrick from clarkie. Some great displays and goals from the lads. With the leaders losing last night it puts us within 4 points of them.

Disappointing result last night drawing 3-3 with league leaders. After being 2 up after a stunning volley from the captain splinter slevin and a delicious chip from anto from 30 yards out the lads conceded right on half-time. The gaffer changed it around at half-time and lads lost control of the game even going 3-1 up after a cross come shot from Danny. Byn just kept hammering the ball into the box and after soaking up the pressure we gave 2 poor goals away in last 5 minutes. Man of the match was gano who played unreal up top on his own. The gaffer takes some blame for the change in formation. League table show it a 2 horse race. We play byn again in 3 weeks.

The lads continued their fine start to the season with a 3-1 win without playing their best stuff. Ranko scoring in the 1st half after some great work from Clarkie down the wing and ranko put it away. 1-1 at half-time. 2nd half was a bit better and tadgh and gano linked up after hearing they were about to come off scoring a cracking goal tadgh with a scholes like diagonal ball splitting the defence finding a great run from gano who nodded it home. 3rd was after good work from Clarkie their keeper decided to help his cross into the net. Big game next week. Big thanks to Jay for helping us out in goal who pulled off a unbelievable save to keep the game at 1-1.

Another excellent win last night saw the lads keep their 4th clean sheet in a row. Winning out 2-0 winners it could've been more but for some terrible finishing from the all-time top goalscorer large Bud making his 1st appearance of the season. 1st goal scored from hannon which after a horrendous attempt of a pass minutes before scored using mesmerizing footwork to score. The lads defended great and kept their striker in their pockets all game. Joe hammered home the 2nd after large Bud used his quick feet to play a sublime ball into him 2-0.

An excellent 7-0 win last night from the lads in a game that should've been a 15-0 win but for some p**s taking and shocking finishing. The lads went in at half-time 2 up thanks to goals from ranko making a surging run from centre half to finish. Then gano with a clinical strike after great work from Clarkie. Clarkie then scored 2 crackers after missing a host of chances. Tadgh scored a free kick that was from inside his own half unbelievable tekkers. Then the moment came the gaffer came on and produced brilliance from a Nolan cross to guide the ball into the net with a deft touch from the head and scored again slotting home a penalty. Then he missed 2 chances that could only be described as Keith Doherty like. Roll on next week

A good 4-0 win last night from the lads playing in 2nd gear for the match. Clarkie making his debut with a great run to feed Joe who finished it like a protein shake 1 nil. Then Dawson leaped through the air thinking the ball was a pizza and finished it 2-0. Gano scored to make it 3 after some good work 1st of many goals hopefully. Then Tadgh finished it off to make it 4 with a good finish. Clarkie should've made it 5 but hammered the bar blaming his footwear. Good 3 points. Roll on next Tuesday

After an 8 months break to celebrate winning the league the lads were back in action last night drawing 0-0 in a game that we should've won. Good display after a long break. Poor finishing costing is all 3 points. Roll on next Tuesday.

With the defence of our league title starting in April the gaffer has wasted no time in bringing in new blood. With the departures of Emmet Duffy and Vic Grundy the gaffer has brought in Conor Walshe and Roy Shanahan to the squad. The management team would like to wish Duffy and Vic all the best and thank them for the memories and commitment given during battle for the Angels. We also welcome the new lads to the squad. 10 weeks till we defend the title and go to war.

Two games left in the league but only for pride as no one can catch the champions !!!!

So the lads finally did it and won the league last night in style winning 6-0. 2 goals from the all time top scorer Bud large McMahon and 2 from Joe set the lad on there way with anto and Tadgh with the others. But the game will be remembered for the gaffers unbelievable 5 minute display. What a player what a manger. The double is on 1/4 final on Friday.

The lads were within 20 seconds of winning the league when we conceded to lose 1-0. Which means we have to win or draw our final game next week to win the league. Sick is a understatement. But still in our hands roll on next Tuesday.

The wait is nearly over 30 mins till kick off !

The day has finally arrived. Will the names of Hayden,Slevin,Dawson,Duffy,McMahon,Rankin,Gallagher,Kilduff,Grundy,Thompson,Byrne,Hannon,Stephenson and of course the man that has them in this position for greatness Finlay be spoken of for years to come as they go onto win the league tonight. A night for hero's to be made.

It's the day before the biggest game of the Angels 14 year history. A game that will write lads names in Alley folklore a game where hero's will be made a game that people will talk about for centuries to come. Tomorrow once the lads avoid defeat they win the league. Come out and support Lucans and the Ball Alleys heros tomorrow in st colmcilles at 7 to join in the biggest session of all time.

The lads are in touching distance of the title after a 2-0 victory tonight. Goals from tadgh and Joe mean only 1 more point is needed from the two remaining games.

Last night the angels took a step closer to their first ever league title. Goals from Bud (2), Ranko, Dawso and Graham giving the lads a 5-3 victory.

With teams below us also picking up points its still very tight but in our own hands. 4 points from the reamining 3 games will secure the title and will start the biggest session of all time !!

After a shaky start and going a goal down the lads recovered well and battled like F**k. Anto small McMahon scored with what can be only described as an unbelievable shot. Knowing he had to hit it off their defender to have any chance of going in he did GOAL angels. 1-1 at half-time. 2nd half and the game is in the balance knowing a draw wouldn't keep the league in our hands. Boards score a scrappy goal. Enter Robert large McMahon who scores a free kick from 25 yards out what a hit son what a hit. If large McMahon had some pace he could've put the game to bed. But a 2-2 draw leaves it in the lads hand 2 points clear and a game in hand with 4 left to play. Joe wins tackle of the game with an almighty shoulder charge that left there striker in an awful heap. Moment of the match was there gaffer going mental cause they bottled it.
