Prodigy Partners with Junior Disc Golf Association for Inaugural Season — Prodigy Disc Prodigy Disc is proud to partner with the Junior Disc Golf Association in its first season. The JDGA will be a team disc golf league focused on kids 18-years-old and under. Registration for JDGA’s first season is open now and play starts Feb. 15, 2020, which will be the first day of practice.

Who's gonna go represent us at this tournament?

We cannot stress enough that the growth of the sport starts with you! And participation. Other juniors do not want to go play an event that there is few kids. By you signing up your kid, you can be the difference in influencing another kid to sign up. By going and playing, NO MATTER YOUR SKILL, you influence other kids to play.

4th Annual Texas State Junior Disc Golf Championship 4th Annual Texas State Junior Disc Golf Championship is a disc golf tournament at Spring Valley in Spring, TX, beginning on November 2, 2019 and hosted by DGProShop.

Youngest disc golfer to reach the 1000 rated PDGA Player rating! Gannon is 14 and has been playing at a high level for quite a while! Way to push the sport forward by working hard at such a young age! Congrats!

Not gonna lie, I didn’t think I’d ever achieve this milestone. I am so honored to be the youngest player EVER to get the player rating of 1000! All of my countless hours of practice has payed off. But I’m not stopping here. This is just the beginning. I’d like to thank everyone for the support throughout this journey and everyone who believed in me. Thank you for being the best sponsor EVER! Find a caddy that encourages you. In disc golf, caddies are more often found with juniors than any other divisions. We want to give a couple tips for caddies to help their junior succeed in their game.

TIP ONE

Do not make your junior doubt their shot.

Confidence is the key to disc golf and more often than not, doubting a shot will result in a miss.

TIP TWO

Keep it light.

Keeping the mood light and fun will allow your junior to focus less on his last shot and more on playing his next one. If the whole card is having fun, more often than not, all players play their best game.

TIP THREE

Snacks.

No one likes a hangry junior!
