We will Never Forget
“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
--former President Barack Obama
Our Exchange Club of Ocean City surprised The Covenant House New Jersey with a $3,000 donation at our meeting tonight.
Their organization has grown into a safe space that creates individualized programs for young people facing homelessness and Human Trafficking survivors.
Proud to support such a wonderful program serving New Jersey’s youth.

Hello
Purple Heart Day is observed on Aug. 7 each year and is a time for Americans to remember and honor the brave men and women who were either wounded on the battlefield or paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives.
While an accurate and complete list of names no longer exists, National Geographic recently estimated that nearly 1.9 million service members have earned Purple Hearts since its creation. It is the oldest U.S. military honor still bestowed upon service members today. Until 1944, the Purple Heart recognized service members’ commendable actions as well. Then in 1944, the requirements limited the award to only those wounded or killed in combat.

Another great night in the books! Love your community and interested in giving back? Next meeting is July 29th...message for details

The Exchange Club of Ocean City has already given over $14,000 to children’s charities, almost $5,000 toward community charities snd $5,000 toward national charities in 2024.

On Saturday, June 22nd, Variety the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley participated in a event at the Ocean City Yacht Club called “Fishing for Kids”. The Exchange Club of Ocean City donated $500 to the cause and three members of our Club volunteered their time to this exceptional event.
“Fishing for Kids” provides a unique opportunity for the children with disabilities to go on a private fishing boat and fish perhaps for the first time – all for free – and without judgment. It is also a way for the members of both Clubs to give back a little of the enormous, good fortune that they have been blessed with and create lasting memories for members of the disability community.
Special thank you to our members, Jon Batastini, Frank Faverzani and Mark Kampf for donating their time and talents.
I'll be attending the amazing National Exchange Club Convention & Symposium 2024. Let me know if you're planning to attend so that we can say Hi! 👋
