Started in 1972, ZNA Southern California Chapter (ZNA SoCAL), began as the US extension of the vision formed through the parent Japan organization. The motto of Friendship through scales has been and continues to be the core of our organization. The following statement was written on the 25th anniversary of our club by the then president; Chris Bushman. Koi are only the focal point of this effort

A lot goes into putting on a Koi show and we want to thank the City of Gardena and especially Mayor Cerda for all their support. Our club members and volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to fundraise and help put on our show. Finally, no Koi show is complete without our Vendors who all koi shows through various efforts.
For our 48th Koi show, we are reaching out for your help. We will be enlisting any vendors and hobbyists for trophy sponsorship. We have 14 major awards and also 16 other trophy awards. This year we also have for our vendors an opportunity to support our show as Platinum sponsor and Gold Sponsor. For anyone interested in sponsorship, please message us through Facebook or contact Gerald Ellison. Within next week or so we will have an online store for anyone to sign up for trophy sponsorship.

ZNA SoCal has partnered up with Mystic Koi for ZNA SoCal grow out. Chai has hand selected 20 Omosko tosai Shiro Utsuri for this event.
The event starts at 10 am on Saturday, May 6th, 2023. Selection of koi will be accompanied by a lecture on selecting Shiro Utsuri tosai by Chai Taevanitcharoen, general meeting to follow afterward.
