It’s UNT’s mission to give all students the inclusive and welcoming space they need to thrive. Through our UNT E L E V A R Program, we are committed to providing students with intellectual disability the true college educational and social experiences that will lead to greater independence, while offering them opportunities to createing memories to last a lifetime.

Some of our UNT ELEVAR students have starring roles in a new national public awareness campaign video that recently debuted as part of Think College Awareness Week (April 24-28). The campaign, developed by Think College’s Inclusive Higher Education Network, is designed to expand access to college for students with intellectual disability. In the video, Provost Michael McPherson speaks about UNT ELEVAR, and Lauryn Woolfolk, Isaac Rodriquez and Jaylen Walker are among students from five universities who talk about their college experience and what they've enjoyed most.

We are proud to have members of our Mean Green Family be as part of this national effort to raise awareness about the higher education pathways available for students with disability. Everyone deserves the chance to succeed!
