I was asked by another oily mama to create some shungite necklaces for her 3 boys, and I could not be happier with how they turned out!! We wanted to personalize them in some way, so I had her ask their favorite colors to use those colors for the thread. Love love love these!!! It was also nice to be challenged for something a little different as these stones are smaller than usual and these each have a clasp closure with jump rings to make the length adjustable a little bit. I love challenging projects and to feel good about them once they’re complete!! 🤗

This custom mala is my very first custom men’s mala! A lovely former client reached out to have this made for her man, and boy do I love how it turned out!! This mala is made with dark brown lava stone, naturally fragrant sandalwood, two red tiger’s eye marker beads at the 27th positions and a tiger’s eye focal bead.

This mala was a test of patience. My client requested turquoise to be in the piece. My only experience ordering turquoise was a bust. It’s just one of those stones you have to have your hands on to determine its validity. And, it’s not going to be cheap! 😬
Luckily, our local gem show was scheduled to come to town. I went just hoping I would find some nice quality genuine turquoise in the size I need! I searched every table I saw that had beads. Nothing. I did some personal shopping, and made one more loop around. So glad I did because I discovered a table in a back corner (with beads!) I didn’t see initially. They had some turquoise, round... and only two strands in 6mm. Exactly what I needed! 🙌
So grateful the stars aligned for this beauty to come into existence (over a month altogether) and to finally provide the comfort needed to its owner! 💚
