A new downtempo track produced last night. Very much outside of my normal style. This has kind of a light optimism to it while somehow still maintaining some melancholy melody. I'm calling it 'Empires'. 100 bpm MPC as the drum machine and the rest comes from a mix of hardware and software. The final master is in the comments.
I broke my one-month writer's block bout with some downtempo, class consciousness Electro music today. This track was produced over the course of 10 hours on Sunday and uses almost exclusively the MPC One for sound generation, which is something I haven't really ever done prior. This little box is insanely capable if you really dig into it. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the song. I opted to name it 'Bourgeoisie & Proletariat' due to the vocal samples used within. Cheers, comrades.

Probably my favorite cover of the year or possibly ever. I've always loved this Drexciya song like none other so when I decided to cover it, I really tried hard to preserve the spirit of Gerald and James' original. This was SO much fun to do. Also, I think I need to bust out my Arp Odyssey again! 🧡
