It is when God hides us in His pavilion, in the secret of His tabernacle, that we find rest and we are found. And it is there that we pray to always abide - for Him to hold us and never let us go.

It could be, like Rahab, in the very walls of crumbling Jericho. Or in the middle of affliction as did Paul. It is a place where when we are weak, we are strong, "hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed". It was never about the external gifts we chase however honorable and pleasing, like healing or deliverance or display of anointing and power or the blessedness of ministry. It had always been about the Giver, the One thing needful.

This song is a prayer, our utmost heart's cry - to be with the Giver Himself, to dwell in His house forever, and to remain in His presence where there is refuge and peace.
