Air filter upgrade for the 2015 Golf R - Flex Stage 3 - Kobe Motorsport Hybrid Turbo

Our tuner Chris - Galano Engineering recommended that we should upgrade our air filter size, down pipe, FPCM

With the help of an online calculator -https://strikeengine.com/air-filter-size-calculator-for-power-bhp/

We calculated the filter size we need based on our volumetric efficiency of our current setup and goals.

According to the results we needed a air filter with a surface area of around 148,000mm². Remembering that all cotton gauze filters are usually pleated, we managed to get our hands on a much larger filter (146,000mm²) not including all the pleats.

We also added 6”-3.5” ABS plastic velocity stack to optimise volumetric flow to the turbo.

We are not planning to sell these as a upgrade but happy to point those in the right direction.

Very excited, for the Kobe Motorsport Golf R to get back on the Dyno with our new 4” Catless Downpipe, Air Filter, and Galano Fuel Controller Module.
