‘This piece seeks to embody the nature of reality. It explores the concept of the world as being an illusion, a construct of the mirroring of our own consciousness rather than of something built solely outside of ourselves. It looks as though it depicts a landscape of trees but what it is really illustrating is water, which is hinted at by the rippled effected to the top right of the painting. More deeply it could also be said that neither is a true representation of the other as what is actually being observed is merely a canvas with paint on it.’

Spring time has inspired me to paint some native coastal flowers. I love learning about their spiritual meaning and what they symbolise. This one is the Banksia Integrifolia symbolising rebirth, new beginnings, strength and resilience 🌿

Fear and low self esteem have been ‘road blocks’ for me. They have kept me in comfort zones that have hindered my personal growth.

It was such a pleasure to bring this work together. The subjects were from different photos placed together to look as if they had all shared a moment in time. The great grandparents featured did not get the opportunity to meet their great grandchildren who are represented as being together with them in this piece 🙏🏼😊

These last few months of the year I had the pleasure of creating some sentimental pieces for others.
